That was an awesome ride. I would like to have seen what happened if he didnt crash in the first turn. I hope he has a better year this year. Always been a fan.

A valiant effort from him could tell he was pushing at the end there. Pumped for him!

Not ready to call him for a win quite yet, but he definitely rode his ass off tonight.

I said it before I’ll say it again, he’ll be the top KTM at years end.

Note* this take was widely rejected in December

If u think about it thats how it was “supposed” to be. Marvin has always been the #2 guy and Webb was supposed to be “the next guy”. Should be interesting.

Mud race that even Mookie had a shot at. Still not sold on Webb. He's shown nothing in years.

Ive been saying Webbs problem has been starts. Him and Baggett both were ANIMALS on the 250, they also both got decent starts and came on late. Thats VERY tough to do on 450s especially for a rookie. One of the bigger stories... besides Webbs charge is he had the holeshot. If a rider like Webb gets afew holeshots he gets confidence, confidence with that much talent can be a chain reaction. I think since its so hard to charge late in the 450s his average starts gave him average finishes n killed his confidence. Him being that close to a holeshot is already a great sign. So is his charge to 5th.

Not a Webb fan but he was mighty impressive. He has shown glimpses of this in the softer muddier races on 450's in the past though, like Oakland and Seattle in his rookie year. So it will be interesting to see if it was just the mud, or he genuinely can be a top 5 guy each week

I know it’s a mudder. I know I’m a huge Webb fan, but..... I feel like some of those guys were getting tired and he still had the gas. I’m stoked.

More like " if you don't finish top 5, don't even come back to the truck".... Seems like he forgot that all night long until lap 15 of the main... Lol

He rode with a lot of heart, I think it was the first time we saw that from him in 450. He will have a good year !

Let's pump the brakes till he does that in a dry race, then I'll agree with you. But it was a great ride in those muddy conditions. He has done great rides on his yamaha in similar conditions before. But I do think he'll do better this year.

I agree you can’t put much stock in mud races but his fitness and fire was something we haven’t seen.
