No slam at all on Eli...but I just can’t help but feel like 2021 will be his last year. I think he wants to retire to his ranch in Colorado, and be a Dad & a husband. He finally got the monkey off his back with a SX title last year, after what seems like forever...and he just doesn’t seem to have the fire he did before. No shame at all...

I thought he just signed a new deal last year or early this year didn't he?

He would need to get engaged before that husband thing will happen.

Tomac has never been my favorite rider. Odd because he is so incredibly talented in many ways and a complete train wreck sometimes in others.

One thing I will say.... I really dig seeing a side of him he has kept somewhat hidden. Yeah...that would be having fun, smiling and showing some personality. ...and I'm glad he's not one of the social media whores. There's something to be said about not knowing every freaking detail of a sports hero's life.

I can't begin to imagine the pressure he has been under for the years of his career.

Rock on Eli....

Qoute from Steve Matthes: "I heard from some people that he’s also re-upped with Kawasaki for another two years but haven’t been able to confirm that. I got it from good sources though. If so, we might have a timeline on what his future plans are in terms of racing."

Eli is my favorite rider. But you know what would be the best possible situation for Eli Tomac's Career?

(This sounds terrible, but I 100% believe it to be true)

If Eli had a simple injury at the last SX round and had to take the '21 Outdoors off.

Shitty, huh? Well it's the truth. Eli needs some time off to get that fire back. He needs to go hide away with his family, enjoy some time as a new Dad and not touch a dirt bike for 4 months. Eli is a mental rider. He knew he could win Daytona, so he did. It's just how he's wired. His head isn't 100% in it at the moment. He deserves to take the summer off and crush the sport for a couple more years.

It's crazy how much Eli's situation mirrors Villo's...

Be careful we already hurt his feeling, but now I am sure he will post how he doesn't care if he gets down votes. I just cant understand why some of these ladies are more worried about riders and their personal lives and what they should or shouldn't do Laughing

So instead of him just taking an outdoor season off you’re suggesting he break an ankle?? Doesn’t sound like your head is in it 100%

If he can get the holeshot, no one has ever passed him straight up and won. Prove me wrong with an example of when that happened.

The sad truth is that I doubt he would be able to take the summer off without an injury forcing it.

LOL WHAT. Maybe you should contact him and tell him you’d be a great mental coach

At some point you have to look at your bank account, your family and your life and think I'm good, I'm not doing this anymore.

Herlings did. He was like 8 seconds per lap faster too. Something crazy like that. One of the nationals a few years ago. I wish he would come over and race some SX. I'm waiting on Ferrandis to get the hang of the 450 class. I think he is the sleeper out there. I was a Tomac fan until this last season he just rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe it was that thing with Barcia.

I am amazed how many telepathic people we have on vital that can read riders minds.

You guys have wasted talents, maybe call FBI and offer these skills for solving cold cases.

Eli is my favorite rider and I have no F'ing clue what is going on in his head but I enjoy watching him ride. I appreciate that his hobbies are hunting and fishing.

Not related but interesting:

Webb and Roczen both share Surfing as a hobby, saw it on the rider intros at Saturday's race. Webb can actually surf, while Roczen has been a couple times and likes to take pictures with his wetsuit on, board under arm. Says a lot about their rivalry.

The more telling story is who is better at fishing: Eli or Mookie? Says a lot about their rivalry.
