Last time at the Wick was 2016, and last time at an outdoor race was Budds 2019 (blame Covid) - and man did I miss it! Nothing like the factory 450's ripping up the sand! Good time! GuyB - I saw you moving around but never close enough to say hi.

Those are some of the best photos I’ve seen in years. A1 work my friend. 👍. I’d say quit your job and become an MX photographer, but you seem like nice guy,(and I wouldn’t want to see you living in a house with 10 occupants, with sheets hanging on ropes to separate the living room into bedrooms (trust me, that’s not a joke)

Excellent photos. Thanks.

I think it is interesting seeing how the different riders use a different finger on the clutch.

Great shots, the first one of Tomac as a semi-pan shot is so good!

Wow excellent shots! Really captures how compelling moto is. Even in the pic you can tell Ferrandis is hauling ass!

Fantastic images Mxrider641!!! Just don't tell me they are taken with an iPhone, doing some pixelpeeping I would say you are the proud owner of some fine camera equipment, really really sharp images even at speed!

Please share more if you do travel to more races!

Awesome shots! What lens / shutter speed / f stop were you shooting at?

Thanks everyone - it was so good to be at a National!
For the camera geeks - All shot with a Canon 1DX and either a 70-200 or 24-70 lens, Pan shots were at SS 1/200 and F-stop varied. Any still shots were mostly at F2.8 and shutter varied but tried to keep above 1/1000, all outside the fences.

Awesome pictures! One thing that stands out to me is how far ahead all of these guys are looking. They look like they are processing what is going on 20-30 yards in front of them. Motocross Action used to stress this point a lot back in the 2 stroke days.

I notice Hunters clutch lever is far in on the bars, so with his finger he basically touches the tip of the lever.

(again, congrats Mxrider641, I'm happy it was a 1DX Wink , even if I'm not doing photography for a living I appriciate quality photographs vs instagram snapshots)

Good work as usual Jeff! It was good to see you, Sorry we couldn't chat, its a little noisy when the bikes are racing.
You are way ahead of me getting your photos done like always, Hopefully I'll have mine done in a day or two. I'm slow and my computer is slow. lol

Great pictures....thank you.

Now for a question, every pic i look at of Tomac it appears that his bars are cut slighty shorter than most other riders. Ive worked the pits for a number of years and without having the chance to measure his bars its alway been on my mind.

I know Brian Krantz but not well enough to ask (personal) questions like that.

Anyone notice it or is it my warped imagination?
