I'm still holding my breath waiting for one of those factories to come out with a bike that's as good as my '03 CR500AF. And just in case they do, then I'll wait for 'em to top my '07 CR500AF. And if they top THAT, I'll call AJ up and order an '09 and tell him to port it up to scary-fast and go kick some serious 4 stroke ass.

So no, I don't think I'll buy a new bike this year.

The EFI Kawi 450 is really cool, it'll be interesting to see how it works out. The monster kawis are so gimmicky. I can't stand the whole "monster" craze, it seem so kid down the street who rides his minibike up and down the road

The 09 Cow450 is listed at 247lbs! That is a lot more than last year's bike. Plus it is $550 more than last years bike. I was planning on one, until I saw those numbers.

If you're going to buy, be a little prepared for sticker shock. The drop in the value of the dollar is a real problem. In particular, KTMs might cost considerably more. And a little birdie told me that KTM is seriously considering moving their manufacturing to India...
