Glen Helen national goes away, Bud gets cozy with Luongo, and "poof" the mxdn goes to Glen Helen in 2015.

I thought the mxdn was already assigned to countries outside the US until after Italy 2016?

Follow the money? Who knows?

if I remember correctly the original deal with YS had The MXoN at Glen Helen in 2013.

Jody's rant against Luongo probably helped all this.

Who cares Bro? We get the MXDN at one of the great American MX tracks. It isn't like MX Sports is doing this for free either and at least it isn't a press release saying that the MXDN is to be held at some parking lot in the Inland Empire.

Bud has never looked for payback. If Glen Helen got it for 2015 its news to me and I work there. But I have not talked to Bud or Lori since lunch yesterday so a lot could have happened overnight. Tell you what if you think a GP or National it tough for a track to do wait till they have to prepare for a MXoN.

Looks like I need to start planning my first trip to California.

Great news.

Jay, what am I missing, though? I thought Jodi and bud were sort of a "team". Why would Jodi's rant help Bud?

Do you mean that Luongo felt some pressure to make it right?

I can't answer your questions but I don't believe in coincidences.

Mr info, you had no idea about this? Sounds like you aren't near as inside as you thought.

What's the over/under on Racer X getting a press pass to this?

Did Bud present a long list of demands to Longo before he committed to the MXdN in 2015? Or is it just for the Nationals that he pulls that?

TMXER it was completed last night and and I was told just about an hour ago. It was something being handled buy Bud himself and he did not need to inform me. And you only wish I don't know what goes on inside. There are things I can't tell you about that would make you pass out. Only the mild stuff come out here. Glen Helen has a lot of work to do to give you guys the best of the best for the 2015 MXoN and Davey and the whole MX Sports group will be there I bet and they are welcome. I hold no grudge never did just had to speak my mind on what I know. And how many will show up who knows its 3 long years away and so much can change between now and then. And to pilotdude they both have a list of demands and they will be agreed to in a timely manner.

I agree with all you guys here, including Mark, this was good news for Glen Helen and everyone. While it's a couple years later than originally announced back in 2010, I am glad that SoCal fans will finally get a Motocross of Nations.

Awesome news, now if the second best track in the country could only get a national back. Red bud being the first best of course.

I was being sarcastic, I certainly wonder what Jody's involvement will be if any.

Luongo doesn't take kindly to Jody's type of Press.

2015 is a long way away, and a lot can happen. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it actually happens this time.

Isn't he just the track designer? I don't see why he'd have anything more to do with it than that......

Jody doesn't just design the track, he is Mr Glen Helen, The guy literally has his hands in most aspects of their big races.

Well, regardless, I'm very happy to see the race back on US soil. I attended Budd's and Colorado for the last two mxdn's, but having already attended the national at Glen Helen s few years ago, I think I'll skip it and go to Italy in 2016. I want to revisit sound history from 1986!

Thirty years later... Wow.

I hope this goes a good ways to resolving the tensions between all the parties: MXSports, AMA, FIM, Youthstream, Jody, Bud, and the list goes on.

As fans, we want to see the best riders and the best tracks.

This can be a HUGE win for everyone and level set the respective relationships moving forward.

Now, if we can only get Congrees to start working together...but I digress....

They had a USGP in 2010 and 2011 and none of our riders except MA800 showed up. They all had their chance.
