Ricky practices out there allot and seems to be really comfortable at GH so I think he'll do well there. He was flying at GH for the opener last year on his privateer Kawi. I also think the the way GP riders pace themselves early in the 40 min heats and really pour it on in the middle will be a very good fit for Ricky too. If I was to make a prediction I'd put Ricky somewhere between 6th to 10th overall. I think a top 5 would be a big surprise and worse then a top 10 would be just as big of a surprise. Very similar to where he was in the ama outdoor nationals.

Respect. I bet he does pretty well. It's beyond me why more pros aren't excited about this opportunity. And if it's because of money, well thats just lame. RD flies, it should be an awesome race.

What is the opportunity?
To race for free or possibly get hurt and not be able race the races that pay for their family to eat and have a home?
Racing is a business for most pros not a hobby.
Yeah it would be cool if the top American riders lined up, but that is all it would be is cool.
You can't expect them to do it for just bragging rights.

When you're an honest-to-God real racer like Dietrich, it's all about racing...and testing yourself.

Off-road, endurocross, SX, MX, this guy just refuses to NOT race.

He wants to test his shit against GP racing's best.

Maybe it's just because he's A RACER!

I agree with you Dietrich is a true racer and he has something to prove in that if he does well maybe he will get some support for the Nationals.
I have seen Dietrich race National MX, endurocross and Worcs events. He is a bad MOFO
on any motorcycle.

It's a name on a message board. Why is that irony? The uk has nothing to do with my name. The 125250 has nothing to do with numbers on a bike. It's just something to put on a message board because you have to pick something.

mostly because you said you hate when people combine letters with numbers and it slows you down when you type...you should add one more number to your user name, just so you could understand the irony.

Last summer at the WORCS round in olympia, I seen him straight up sprint for 2 1/2 hours. Scrubbing jumps and just attacking. I took a little nap, went to the van, made a sandwich, came back and and he's still pushing to get into first on the last lap to win it. I was in awe. No doubt, he could ride GH at its roughest at full 100% sprint for 40 minutes. A couple guys might have him on raw speed, but he has top 5 potential all day long.
