Prayers sent man. Do you mind if I ask more about him? Where he's from? Age? The reason I ask is my cousins and I used to travel and race with a guy here in arkansas named Chris Blankenship but we lost touch over the years and haven't seen him in probably 10-12 years. Just curious if this might be the same guy or not.

Hes from Rose bud missouri. Early 40s i think. Nicest guy there is. It may be him hes raced along time .. Not sure how far he traveled racing. Reason i posted it here is cause all the supercross guys know him. All us motocrossers are like family and all the prayers help.. Thanks guys for the kind words

Thanks for the response. Not the same guy, but I sure hope he has a full recovery. He sounds like a good dude.

KDub posted this on his InstaG last night:

kdub_14: This man has had my back from day one. He's built my tracks, he's built my transfers, but better than all that is his ability to care. The way he cares about his family, his friends, his job, and his sport. I'm so honored to call @cb887 one of my best friends. I know he's strong and I know prayer is also. So let's get it done. He was in a dirt bike crash and Everything on him is being looked at. So pray for Gods hands on Chris and his family.

The current word I get is that he's on life support and undergoing neurological tests, but that the prognosis is not good.

Man.....it was sad enough , but then when you read KW14's post....it really hits home. This one is going to sting if things don't turn out for the best. Hoping the best for Chris.

sad and you can feel a loss from someone you never met or heard much about...but when they're fighting for their life and people begin to describe their character and how they impacted the lives of others....it reminds me of Franklin Covey and his "begin with the end in mind"...and how you can go through life making decisions and treating people a certain way to imagine how they would talk about you at the end of your life...the legacy you leave behind. How would you want to be remembered? This is touching to hear positive things about Chris. He lived life the right way.

I don't care much about people who scream they don't care what anyone thinks about them...this is exactly why.

Best wishes and positive thoughts to you, Chris. Whatever happens, you have a great legacy.

Doug

RIP, Chris.

It was a tough event for the Dirt Wurx crew. Apparently another one of their guys broke a femur.
