We're opening a track in upstate SC and we are looking for feedback for daily rates from tracks in your area. We want to be as fair as possible but also be here to stay, so that as many people as possible can come and enjoy.

Thanks MX606!!!

Most of the southern east coast tracks are in the area of $20 a day. NCMP is $20. Budds Creek is $40. Southfork in VA is $25 but the first time you ride you have to join for $50.

I don't know what South of the Boarder or Club MX charges per day. I'd imagine you are close to them...

$25 a rider seems to be the magic number. However, that can kill a family of four or even a dad and his kids. For me and my boys to burn some laps it's $75 just to get in the gate so after gas & food it is a $125 day. I suggest a family or multiple rider discount. SpeedWorld in Phx use to do this and it was awesome.

Just my .02

Best of luck with the track!!

Most of the tracks in Alabama charge $20-$25. That's a bargain. Sure beats prepping my track all day just to spin a few laps on a track I'm sick of.

Taylor your price to the track. If you feel like you have a nice track, offer good prep and it's a shorter distance drive from a metro area I'd pay $25-30 but if your track is a bit shorter than what is around and your prep is not as good, charge $20.

Seems like all of my local tracks charge $25. Used to be $20. $20 is always a convenient number because that's what ATM's dispense.

Agreed with tombugg. Family discounts would be very family friendly.

Post pics of your track when you get a second. Good luck.

I still charge ten for a day no yearly membership. But that may change soon. I don't prep often enough but the dirt here is pretty good.

I'd be willing to pay more if the track has flaggers. I've tried for years to get my local track to have them but there afraid a extra $5 will scare people off. $5 is a lot cheaper than a trip to the hospital. I'm not talking about a flagger in every corner. Just a few around the track especially on blind jumps.

Wow, that's mega cheap!

Just read this and did some quick conversions on UK costs ...

Average practice track over here (UK) is £30 - £35 so around $55/60 USD....then there's fuel prices (around $9/ US Gal).

Where about in Upstate SC?? I'm located near Charlotte..

As other have said, riding fees should accurately reflect the quality of not just the track, but the overall facility and amenities..

Seems like the "annual membership" thing in addition to daily riding fees has gotten popular (ex: $30/day no membership, $20/day with membership)..

With good track prep (ripped, watered, square jump faces) I'd pay $20-$30 no problem.

All of the tracks around here (by around, I mean within 2-3 hours) are at least $40, most of them are now charging $50/day. IMO that's WAY too much, especially when they run A/B, C/D, quad and mini motos, which means you're only getting out on the track 15 mins per hour.

I would suggest little or no viewing charge if the person comes with a rider. It may be a deciding factor for people to go to your track than another. The going rate in Michigan is 20-25 a day.

Some of our local tracks are membership only tracks. They range from $350-$400 per year and are prepped on the weekends, but you can ride any day as you would have access to a locked gate.

Any of the tracks we go to are 20-25 to get in but most offer a family rate or a military discount. I don't mind paying 25 each to ride (myself and my son) but I expect it to be or have been prepped and watered before practice starts and then watered to keep dust to minimum through the day.

I don't live out there but I would love to pay $20-$25 compaired to NW is around $35.

It would be cool if tracks offered yearly passes or monthly passes, like ski resort or gym membership.

Thanks MX606!!!
If you have done research and/or ride in this area you know what the rates are around here. I would stick to that and not what is going on outside our area.
I know of one track in the upstate that many riders choose not to go when it is open because of the high cost. There is another track in the upstate that I would not ride for free. It is simply not worth the fuel cost or my time.
If you want to "be here to stay". I would suggest keeping it well prepped. One bad day can keep riders away.

In the NJ/NY/PA area, it seems to be $35-50. Englishtown is $40, Walden $35, Blue Diamond is $50 for non-members, $30 Hurricane Hills, $30 Doublin Gap, $35 Rocky Hill.

Most of these tracks are reasonably groomed, watered, flagged and with at least 2 ambulances on site. Well worth it to me but I am older and drink expensive beer these days: your mileage may vary.

Crisp...that is with out the gate fee remember,,,,most tracks are now keeping the fee even for practice

Pagoda $30 practice...$10 bucks each for my son (who rides) and me (don't ride, just go to watch)....$50 total

same for Sleepy hollow

Blue Diamond...$50.

I think the cheapest is Pine Creek (old Dutchmens) at $30 with no gate fee and the new owner is doing a nice job getting that track up to par

if you gotta come to vital to answer your question, your track is doomed before it starts.

I'm not paying shit if it's not prepped and watered, and watered through the day. $30 is the max, $25 is ok.

Usually around $35 here. New York tracks are $20-25. Maryland and jersey are in the $40 range, usually with a $50 first time fee.

$50?!? GOOD LAWD THAT'S A LOTTA MONEY!!

ClubMX in South Carolina (private facility co-owned by Zach Osbourne, where the likes of Alex Martin & Justin Brayton train) has a few open ride days per year. All of their tracks (2 MX, 1 SX) are fucking sick.. As professional as it gets and they're groomed to the tits... $40 all day.

TKF: that's true. It's just me so I don't track gate fees. Englishtown certainly doesn't charge that but I am sure many others do. And I'll have to check out Pine Creek. I run 357 on a "modern" YZ125: come by and say Hi if you see me around.

And, yes, welcome to the East Coast for those shocked about prices. We pay more for just about everything, from toilet paper to property tax. I fantasize about moving but my job keeps me shackled here.
