Been hearing they are soon to be under new ownership and will be closed for 2 weeks next month for a complete teardown. Will be interesting to see what they come up with as the tracks have been pretty much the same layouts for the past 10 or so years.

I agree and hope they don't change it too much but I also heard they are planning to make it more tame....

Heard it's not happening any longer.

I'm hearing a price increase to $40, which totally sucks if true. I hope this new group does a good job. Before this current group took over they used to make small changes the the track weekly. Now it's the same layout for about a year then they completely redo it.

Ripping everything super deep and then calling it a day has gotten so annoying that neither I, nor anyone from my riding group rides there anymore (it seems several others on Proride are doing the same). It sucks because Perris has consistently been my favorite track, but the lackluster prep and flat corners just aren’t worth our time and money anymore.

Anyway, it’s an easy fix, so I’m hoping the new owners step it up since State Fair, Cahuilla, LACR and more continue to prep the right way.

Elsinore is $30.00 and a monthly pass is $100.00

Yes, the prep used to be xlnt there, but I don't know too many average riders that like to ride in 12"+ deep ruts.

The other issue is that there is a person that moved in next to the track that has called the police on them for excessive dust, so even though the police can't do anything about dust, the track wants to keep the problem from escalating, so they frequently over water the track to keep the dust down.

Anyone know who the new owners are? Do they have a good track record (pun intended)?

Yes I do and they have a background as riders and promoters. Bringing in some more dirt, better bathrooms and challenging and safer layouts. Redoing both the tracks. And I heard the same thing ML512 heard that no new track and only a rumor that State Fair was going to be closing as well. Don't quote me on State Fair and if the rumor is true please speak up.
Look forward to a newer and better Perris.

Owners who are also riders usually makes for a good track situation! Thanks for the info. Perris' future sounds promising.

Sometimes. Sometimes they don’t give a shit about what anyone else wants and think what they like is absolutely best for everyone. Sometimes it means we get a really good/safe track that’s well taken care of. Guess we will have to wait and see.

Wtpmotorsports is who has taken the new lease agreement with perris raceway. Check out their instagram page where they have already posted a soft announcement. February 1st they take over and yes plan on shutting down for 2 weeks to rebuild a new track along with a super cross track in the overflow parking lot as you pull up to the gate on the left. There should be new announcements coming real soon. The good news is they will prep the track right, as they are already acquiring a tiling machine for that perfect prep. Stay tuned!!!
