So that is why you were so adamant with Ben Townley about who is the real 101. Looks like you are my friend.
Sign me up for motocross 101. I'll be glad to pick up a copy and check it out. One of the reasons is the introduction for the teaser. Very good job on that and it is nice to hear someone say they are proud of the work they have done. Not enough of that goes around these days and if you poured your passion for motocross into a video you are proud of then it is certainly worth me picking up a copy. Good luck on your venture.

Also, I'll take advice from anyone that is smart enough to have their left foot on the peg at the starting line. Heal shifting is for tall goofy people.

We'll have them ready to ship from our website around the tenth of May (site still under construction) and this will also be available for download for folks in different countries. What's different? There are a lot of great riders that have done videos before. We used some techniques in filming that are typically only seen in feature films... really cool stuff. The hardest part about making one of these is being articulate enough to convey the information. It's really not easy to do it well but I'm really happy with how this turned out. Most videos are done by recording audio of the instructor talking about a subject and then filled in with video in post-edit. We did it the other way around: We shot video of what we wanted to show and then I voiced it over in a studio. This allows me to be very specific about what I want to show the viewer and makes the audience feel much more connected. There also aren't a lot of videos out there from younger riders. Semics and Bailey are awesome but riding technique has evolved so much in the last couple decades. Plus, there is some funny stuff in here. The blooper reel at the end is classic.

I'd cut the trailer down and start it at min:sec 2:40. I got bored watching the step frame stuff waiting for some instruction. But that is just my opinion.

I was intrigued to listen to the cornering stuff as that is my weak point right now having again suffered an ankle injury from poor foot position. I have also blown out my knee on the same leg with my bad foot position.

Look forward to seeing this, what would be cool is like a volume set or a series. Like MX 201, 301 etc and get into top level stuff and nuances that seperate different pros on what you have seen from set up and settings, to training and minor detials that are not only helpful for someone to identify their own nitche style or whatever, but that could also make for good entertianment. I have heard some crazy stuff as Im sure you have on what different riders like in bike set up, mindset, yada yada. Mental aspects at the gate, tricks of the trade. That stuff will sell fo sho, and Im sure you want to see how 101 goes b4 u think about more, im just talkin out loud here. Its seems like the masses are lookin for some inside secrets or something like that to get inside Moto when theyspend their hard earned dinero on a video. Good work Ping!

Saw the teaser, and I think its going to be an A+ production. You got riding techniques, set-up, and maintenance all in a single video can't get much better than that.

P.S. that holeshot on MC was damn awesome!

Everts made a vid about riding technique, but it turned out to be a bummer, but i'm sure you gave it a lot more thought.

I look forward tot the mechanical part as i dont ride and i'm sure it will be more than righty thighty and lefty loosy.
