The rule book says, age is based on the riders age the day of sign up. So is this saying you can qualify at age 29 as long as you are 30 yrs old by the day of the race? Can someone clarify this?

I'm almost positive that as long as you are 30 by the date of the LL race, then you can qualify even if your 29.

yes

if you are 30 by Loretta's you can qualify at 29.

not sure but it maybe the first day of LL that you have to be 30? it's in thier supplemental rules.

Seems complicated ..... why not use the STD youth rules as the base?

It's by sign up for the National itself. In 2010, I did my Area Qualifier just before I turned 30, but was of age by the time the National came around. Age didn't really matter though when it came to the racing itself...I still sucked big time!

Will the qualifiers let a 29 year old race in the +30 class? Technically you don't meet the requirements for the class.

Yes..it is based on your age when the 1st day of the National is held. This has been the rule for as long as I can remember.

Just FYI, last night I read the supplemental rules. They say Aug 2, 2012. Haven't been changed from this year I guess. Looking at the schedule, it still shows 2012 National starting July 29 and ending Aug 4.

If those numbers are true, it looks like you have to be 30 by mid-week of the National, not the first day. Just something I noticed browsing around.

Haha! It's definitely what I plan on doing when I turn 30. It's too bad every other person that couldn't get into LL's when they were younger will be doing the same thing.

last year about 25 riders were ruled inelgible after the areas and regionals.

it's pretty interesting what these "ADULTS" think they can get away with or how they justify it.

What is even more sad are the guys who spend all their time trying to get everyone faster than them ruled ineligible.

When a guy shows up at the gate with expert backgrounds and races the +30 B/C class it isnt really that hard to pick him out of the crowd.

Thats why they need to make it over 30 or over 40 etc and take the B/C classifiation away. You are either
the correct age or your not.

We wouldn't allow you to race a qualifier unless you were 30 by Jan.1st of that year....Huh, guess we screwed some guys.

I think people like me that never made it out of the C class will be fine. It's the former A riders that will have problems. I've always been mediocre and always will be. And I'm reaping all the benefits.
