-aspirin, maybe, thins the blood out.

big james also told me long ago that pickle juice thins the blood and that james always carries those around in his mobile unit.

Some sort of imflammatory drug sounds like a possibility. Certainly James wouldn't be taking anything not approved right in front of God and everybody.

I've wondered what the whole hype was about pickle juice. I thought it probably had something to do with arm pump or along those lines.

Could be Force Factor... I know personally that taking Force factor before a workout I can do higher weight for much longer. I wouldnt have taken it right at the gate though, probably 15 minutes before the moto so it would really kick in after a few laps.

I like to chew gum when i ride.. keeps me from getting cotton/dusty/dry mouth..

Since i do it, i am sure thats what James was doing.., not a pill, just BUBBALISCIOUS duh...

Could have been those capsules called endurlytes from hammer nutrition that are designed to prevent cramping by providing electrolytes or some powerbar energy chews?
I know before outdoor motos i drink a powerbar pack that cyclists use and i have seen numerous ppl do it in staging.

Also a blood thinner like asprin is plausible.

Force Factor gives me added energy before a workout. Ive also taking it before racing a mini bike, I have yet to get arm pump after taking it.

There are plenty of supplements he could have taken for a little extra before racing. They are probably mostly mental, but whatever works for you.
