Every sport needs a way to get the best to consistently compete against each other. Soccer misses out on millions because Neymar and Ronaldo never compete except once every 4 years. Boxing’s massive downfall is largely attributed to having so many different sanctions that fighters can duck each other and still be champion. You look at the best and most popular sports, they have a system where it forces the best to compete against the best on a regular basis. Whether you admit it or not, the 250 class is the minor leagues when it comes to professional MX. We need ways to force the best to compete against each other. I’d personally like to see at least 6 races per year that are AMA/GP combined races, but that’s a different issue. In the states alone, we need to ensure the best aren’t staying in the minor leagues and dominating. The GPs have a way to do it. We need one too.
