I don't hear much "buzz" about this kid...

No-one seems to think he's going to be a threat?

I never heard of this guy until the MotoD.

All I know now is this cat can ride as he smoked everybody in one of his motos with a very controlled and smooth ride that included Dungey.

I was thinking who the hell is this dude, he's got potential to be great.

His other moto he got racked up bad in a pileup and France was done after that.
Outdoors this guy is fast bottom line. But from what I could tell he seems to big for a 250F let alone SX.

I'd like to see him save himself for the Nationals imo.

GP is fast, he's not here to win the series but to race 3 SX to get in the groove with US racing. He's good enough outdoor to win a moto at the MX des Nations Smile
He's had a pretty fast rise to the top of FIM MX2 and I don't think that the former BMX World Champ has reached his full speed yet.

He can scrub at least, LOL! (photo by Stephan Legrand/Moto Verte)

and he received his new lids Cheerful

I personally think after A1 there will be a lot more hype on this guy. I put him in the top 5 of my A1 prediction but wouldn't be surprised if he shows up on the podium or even wins the the main. The guy is a huge talent and is made for sx. The only problem i i think he'll have is starts. He's way to big for the 250 which i think will make starts a huge issue for him.

He's definetly fast outdoors but will lack experience in SX. I predict a good raw speed but he will crash in the final trying to get back up front. He's definetly big for a 250F and will have trouble at the start. Good to have a Frenchy on the 250F line up though go GP. Next year if him and Musquin gets US ride we could see a new era of French riders winning in the US.

Vid of him riding outdoors which should remain his focus for 2010

No that was Marvin Musquin the MX2 world champ. Gautier Paulin couldn't be there as he was still healing from his crash at MXDN

I was blown away by both Paulin and Musquin at the MXoN. They effectively won three of six motos -- Marvin won both MX2 races and Paulin topped everyone in the middle moto as the MX3 French rider. Had he and Frossard not had problems off the start in the last moto, uh-oh....

Sorry man as much as I luv the GP's I tend to pay more attention to the MX1 class.

But now that I know who he is and how fast & smooth he goes I will keep him on my radar screen.

I just hope he doesn't get hurt racing SX, I want to see him outdoors on a 450!

Rinaldi yamaha wanted him to race the MX1 class this year actually, but I think he wanted to remain in the 250f class in 2010 becasue he will have to race one in the US in 2011.

Imo Guatier is even better on the 450f than the 250f he was brilliant at the MXDN.

He also got a 4th in his first GP back in 2007 in N. Ireland special rider for sure and will be great at supercross.- A cross between DV and CP imo

1st three to get his feet wet, then he is racing the pre season outdoor races from Feburary to prepare for the MX2 GPs.

Nice to see somebody 'gets it'... WinkSmile

There are alot of guys equally as fast as Paulin over here, America just got to see him on an especially good day that was all. SX is a different kettle of fish though, I don't predict anything higher than a 5-10 result for him at A1.

MX2 GPs will be great this season...

Musquin
Simpson
Herlings
Roczen
Frossard
Osborne
Paulin
Roelants
Van Horeback
Aubin and more truly stacked

I believe it could come down to Musquin and Roczen with Simpson and Paulin the other title Contenders, can't wait.

Oops forgot about Charlier the European champ who beat both Herlings and Roczen last season in the Euro Champs

Is he riding a 250 or 450 over here?
250 for Star Racing for the first four west coast rounds.

being the only yamaha factory rider for the world championship mx2, i dont see him taking too much risks for a top result, i guess he will be ridding as safe as he can and trying to get the yzf dialed in since he has been on kxfs for the last 2 years......
he should remember what happened to pourcel, that lost a chance to a world title by crashing in a us sx when he was doing the same first races before the mxgp season started.........

Couldn't agree more about Charlier... he is awesome!

See him ride at the European MX Championship last year in Italy, he is going to be big!
