So here's the thing, I have dissed the guy before, I have said he wont get top 5, I have said his social media skills suck....but my god he has impressed the fuck out of me so far this SX season, kudos to you Chad....you certainly proved me wrong.

And just maybe you have gained a fan in me...respect

You've "dissed" him before?? That's putting it mildly Laughing

Awesome for Reed, great start to the season. I have a feeling he may be the only guy to consistently give it to Dungey this year.

Reed's playing the long con. On the box every weekend and not too far behind Dungey.

I'll eat my words, he's doing better than I thought he would this season.

To be fair my big 'disses' of him were some time ago....

But at least I can admit I was wrong....

All good son, that takes integrity.

I've always been on the Chadwagon, even when it was going slow!

I have criticized his "not my fault" attitude before but the truth is, that MF is bad!

Yup! And he's just weathering the storm until he can get on the East coast.

If i did't have a life i would go back through and dig up all the shit that was posted on here, one classic "it will be nice to see Reed battling for 16th"

Most stacked field in years and this dinosaur is smoking the young fellas.

I agree, although not sure if Martin goes next year...wouldnt he have another year in 250's?

3 solid rounds, great start to the season, confidence is high, but will he keep that train a rollin?

Glad to see it happen for him, but he really hasn't had any glitches yet this year and in the past that's when he seems to have his worst nightmare and gets down on himself.

Maybe he's in such a good place this year nothing can bring him down.

He didn't look great all day and even on press day his mood kinda seemed funny to me... the twmx vid etc.

Like he said, to pull a 2nd on a weekend when you're not feeling it, not bad.

He's gonna have to smoke Dungey at some point tho to put any fear in him, don't know Dungey is gonna be worried about someone trying to "out-Dunge" him.

Last weekend he was definitely pushing Dungey. You could tell he was sweatier and more out of breath than normal.

Someone needs to keep Dungey and hope they can put enough pressure to make him make a mistake in the second half but man is it going to be tough.

A confident Reed is bad news for anyone he lines up against. Even though I like Reed, I originally wrote him off as a 10th-15th place guy in this stacked field. He sure has surprised people so far and I honestly couldn't be more happy for the guy. If he can stay healthy all year, he knows how to be solid in the long run all the way until the end of the series.

I think that Reeds success is a surprise to most people. The word surprise implies something unexpected. I think it's a bit rediculous to make fun of the absolute majority of knowlegable followers of the sport for assuming that he wouldn't be this good. Nobody by their senses could have expected him to do this well seriously, and those who did probably don't have a very good track record in predicting things. But no he has SURPRISED us and I'm stoked and happy for him, the sport and all us fans. Let's hope he can dig out a little bit more and imagine what a sensation it would be if he could eventually clinch the title. That would be the greatest accomplishment in the history of supercross if you ask me, and it's within reach :-)

I've dissed Reed too, and am eating some crow. The guy is impressive, even if he never wins another race...although I believe he's got a win coming soon.

Add me to the list that was thinking Chad was a 10th place rider. I wondered what would have happen if they didn't have that restart at Anaheim 1. Wasn't he behind Barcia when they brought out the red flag?

That right there is why the MX industry is still a joke. It wasn't the best bike in 2010-2013, but it is a similar story to the 09 Honda. In 2012 Honda got it right after R&D testing and racing with it. Chad being a very good test rider will only improve or solidify how the bike works. It looks nimble in the turns, and everyone knows it has HP. It is a trendy sport for sure, and next year you will see more blue 450's on the line similar to the 250 class.

Anybody who suggests any pro race a 2 stroke is just dumb.
