I had a 92 and I wish I would have kept it. 92 and 93 were the same bike and they turned like a Suzuki and had the head shake too. I stayed on it until the 98 YZ400 came out. (wish I would have kept that one too)

And people like to think the .000001% changes in bikes year to year right now are really going to make a difference. Fast guys are fast, slow guys, well... This guy is on a 25 year old bike and would smoke nearly everyone here on their fancy FE, RE, WE or whatever.

True, but people buying new bikes helps the industry and improving products. Thank god for people spending $$.

You learned really quick that it was power on or brakes on or you have your hands busy during the coast.

That bike was a true beast, a little too fast. The one I rode several times was more like a smaller 500 than a 250. Just a little too much power.

Agree with your comment. A good friend raced an 85 & 91 CR500 in that era that had good local speed. After he rode a 93 CR2 I owned he ended up buying a 96 CR2 model. He said he felt just as fast on the 250 & it was much easier to ride.
To this day we both regret selling those 90's CR's..
Those bikes were ahead of their time IMHO..

Did he not win one of the first 125 races at Washougal? I’m thinking a year or two ago

How come nobody can seem to figure out what his race future plans are? Does he even race right now?

That is about to change though. My buddy works at planet fitness, and he told me that he came in there yesterday and bought a membership.

Yep, it was faster than my 91 and 07 cr250. I imagine that is what a 350 2-stroke might feel like. It would benefit from a flywheel weight.

With just a FMF pipe mine dyno'd at 43 HP. I think stock KX250s had more HP that year? They were brutal back then.

Fake news. It's impossible to have fun a bike more than two years old without titanium exhaust and five grand in suspension. I even think that riding gear is last years stuff, dude must be miserable out there.

I don't know what the Kawi and Honda dyno'd at but the 93 CR motor was top of the class easy.

He showed up at an off-road race I was racing and was beating everyone until Rory Sullivan caught him. Still 2nd overall. Tons of style for sure.

I loved everything about my 93 CR except the forks. My money couldn't fix 'em. Maybe some of you more well to do types had better luck.
