That kid needs to call TLD STAT!!! Deserves a good bike and an opportunity to show what he's got! Highly impressive and quietly doing things most would bitch about! Well Done!

After reading this interview, how can you not like this kid?
http://www.throttlejunkie.com/2011/01/27/who-is-bruce-rutherford/

"After walking around for quite a while looking for the #795 bike, we finally came across his pit area in the back corner of the privateer pits. Bruce and his father were franticly trying to change out the handlebars that had been bent in practice, with a pair that was slightly less bent off of his spare bike."
or
"Looking at your bike, it’s really not too far off of a stock bike. Do you consider that a big disadvantage especially in the Lites Class?
I really try not to think about that too much to be honest. I have what I have, and I just have to make it happen with that. I think with the support of everyone around me, it’s good and we can be competitive with everyone on the track."

He needs to get a spot for a 450 on the East coast, Bruce is really good. Surprised to see his results, not because his ability but just because he isn't recieving any support. Full blown privateer in the top 10? Two weeks in a row, maybe three, I think he was up there in LA too. He should get on a TLD bike for San Diego, Travis Bright too! Travis was flying but had some bad luck in the night show.

REAL Privateer.

That's just so damn refreshing.

I was told about him by the folks that run the Pala track. As I recall he works there...they're pretty damn proud of their guy.

Seems to me he's been whoopin' as on some folks that're paid "To Win".

I see a good "Job" in his future!

Oh, and, HELL YES! Someone..."hint"...oughta put the kid on Fo'Fiddy in the East!

He qualified 8th I think at Pala in the 450 class. Couldn't get a start but has the speed.

He is too receiving (yes, that's how it's spelled) some support.

DL is sponsoring him...see above. (Rocket Exhaust)

When I say not recieving any support, I mean, he isn't flying to the races sitting in a multimillion dollar rig and letting his fancy mechanics get his bike all spiffy for the night show.

Good job to the kid.. I wish i had a lot of money so i could sponsor him. His dad seemed like a nice guy we fixed his truck at my work, atleast i think that was him. ha But im sure he will be top 10 the rest of the races even with a bad start he looks like hes in good shape. Good Luck this year BR 795

Truth is he has a multi-year 20 page contract with all sorts of legal mumbo jumbo. No way he could get out of it.

Bruce definitely exceeded my expectations going into supercross... as knowing him from Pala Raceway and talking to him, he is easily one of the most humble and kind professionals I've met. So glad to see he has been doing GREAT and making top 10's! When I first heard he nabbed a 9th at Oakland, I posted it all over Facebook and told all of my friends! We were so happy to see our boy killing it.

If that's true, then that's pretty fu*ked. The kid deserves some help for sure.

I think that sort of attitude from sponsors does more damage than good for their product.

Either he was being sarcastic or the jokes on me and you both are! Wink Good luck to Bruce! Seems like a hard worker and deserves a ride for his excellent riding.
