I think that sort of attitude from sponsors does more damage than good for their product.
It's probably not true. But let's say it was. You should think of both sides of it. In the past I have heard of people being let out of contracts and rides to go to a factory spot, etc. Most times it is mutual between sponsor and rider. When a company sponsors a rider they would like to get the best results possible to help promote/sell their product. A lot of the time sponsors don't get a good return on a privateer, but they do it to help the sport and the rider. Now here you have the case where a sponsor is getting a good return and a lot of publicity on his investment, and you think he is wrong. It's not like he is riding for Pro Circuit and is offered a ride for a team that uses FMF. It probably would be nothing to either one of those companies. But in this case you are talking about a company that is also trying to grow in this industry (sort of like a privateer). And the product and modifications provided to the rider helped achieve those good results. If you compare what Rocket invested in Bruce it would probably be more out of his pocket then say Pro Circuit invests in their riders. They get outside sponsors to cover costs. I am just saying you should look at all sides before you are so harsh by saying that's pretty fu*ked. Both parties in this case are struggling to be successful in a difficult market and sport.Cool

downandup you are wrong. Bruce is not on a contract with Rocket and he can do whatever he wants. Vegas 711 makes valid points..... couldn't have said it better myself. Bottom line is if something comes along that could help Bruce reach the next level I support him 100%.

It seems to me he might already be on a pretty good bike. Don knows how to build an engine the last time I checked.
