The all-new 2022 CX65 is built on a heritage of carrying some of the top minicycle pilots to multiple national championships over the past decade. Cobra Elite Team graduates like Chase Sexton, Austin Forkner, Pierce Brown, Jett Reynolds, Casey Cochran, and Drew Adams helped develop this bike into the fastest, lightest, and best handling 65cc bike on the planet.
Highlights for 2022:
NEW! Chassis geometry: Longer wheelbase for improved stability. Shorter swingarm for reduced rear-end kick over braking bumps. Increased rake provides both improved stability and smoother cornering. Lengthened head tube stiffens front end for enhanced steering feel.
NEW! FANG VALVE Engine: The all-new multi-stage computer-controlled exhaust power valve produces a tractable torque curve that lets the rider carve inside lines and enables less shifting. When both stages are fully open, the new engine unleashes a barrage of horsepower that both gobbles up straightaways and the competition.
NEW! Ergonomics provide a slimmer, flatter seat for easier fore-aft transitions and accommodation for a larger range of rider size.
Titanium Edition! – Cobra is bringing works level goodies to the minicycle market! The 2022 CX65 features a super strong and lightweight Titanium rear axle and swingarm pivot. Additionally, we’ve included all aluminum fastening hardware to the mix. Runs good! Looks good!
Cobra is a really cool story, and when you compare what they charge for the E5 electric minis from Austria, not bad.

The "Fang" Valve gets me
'Fang', in Aussie terminology , has been used by (I think now, older blokes like me, as we become ever more Yankified) us for ages.
As in; " going for a 'Fang ' on my bike ", " 'Fanging' through the bush " , " 'Fanging' down the street in my Ute ".
Yota's got a bloody good idea there - It would be great to see them get into making a 125.
Shawn has put some awesome Facebook videos up as he walks about the machine shop talking about different steps of the builds. I don't think he puts them on YouTube.
Cobra is very active directly with customers via Facebook, they have amazing race support via their dealer network and they themselves driving to events.
If you have a young kid that wants to race 100% put them on a cobra 50.
Our cobras were rock solid. I lost one stator over 4-5 year span. I did regular top ends and wheel bearing/stem bearing which are available via an auto parts store...
I realize Facebook isn't for everyone, but a post on the Cobra page would literally have dealers trying to over night parts to your friends door with in mins of posting. I'm sure Shawn can tell you home many dealers they have across the country. We have two premium level dealers in Ohio. That are at almost every single mx race in Ohio. They both travel across the US for bigger events also.
Re packing exhaust is part of regular maint to me, but not to most. If your child is a blipper it's going to load the exhaust up with more oil thus killing the packing. Most new to mx parents don't understand this so you have loudass 50's running around. Lol
Look at the results, if your kids isn't on a cobra 50 they arent running up top at any decent size race.
gotta admit, 1st look when i flipped into this thread, those bikes look good whether they work or not. lol. nice job from design dept.
