After I stripped mine out on my 450 exc I retapped it to a 14x1.5. I now own a 200xc and they get hand torqued everytime to specs!

I ran a terraflex on my 450. Traction was awesome but It weighed so much the suspension needed immediate attention. Way to much unsprung weight. Pain in the butt to mount too. I did get alot of looks though. People were drueling over it

Have you tried different types of pads. I use sintered when I ride off road and I swear I get about 15-20 rides out of them. And this is while dragging them down long butt puckering hills.
