That's why there are berms and brakes...... brake slide and put it in a berm or rut. I was amazed when I saw Gary Lyle show up at our VMX race about 5 years ago,,,riding a KX420. Those where known for changing directions like a barge....He was FAST....he was like modern speed fast on the KX420...SO it can fly if ridden right and tweaked correctly. If the 6BT wants to fix and race something different...go for it. Boat loads of money also describes other vmx bikes I own and fixed..Have you ever priced Maico parts? $200 connecting rod!? $200 piston...

It might be that us old guys have to really adjust to the times. When I was growing up, the USA won all the MXdNs. Every one, for more than a decade. We absolutely crushed this race, and it was a foregone conclusion that we'd win. Everybody knew it, and even though Ward, Johnson, Bailey and the like would give praise to the Euros, everyone really knew who was faster. Now that it not only isn't the case, but the argument could be made that we're not even in contention for the win, it doesn't sit well. I have enough...

Honestly, I don't know if Tomac is far off from Herlings, Caroli, Coldendoff. I never got to make that judgement because he never got a start. That is something that bit Eli in the ass this week because the Euros have a lot deeper field of competition and he can't just blow by guys. I thought Eli rode very well in moto 3, he started outside of the top 20, got up to 10th then crashed and was only able to get up to 7th. Nothing will change as long as the US industry keep using SX as the main reason for this and that there is nothing that can be done to turn it around. Is it a part of it? Yes. Did it help US riders in the past? Yes. But there is no way that there is nothing that can be done about this. And i assume that you want to be better? The Euros was in this place once upon a time.
