Tortuga Added a reply to 250 vs 350 vs 450 - Share your experience pls

This was from a couple years ago. Mosiman, who still hauls the mail did a laptime shootout between the 250, 350 and 450 on the big track at GH. He thought he'd be fastest on the 450. Short version results were he was fastest on the 350 followed very closely by the 250. More power doesn't always mean faster laps...

Honestly it's been very hard to be patient. But the guy at the service department has been super cool with me and it sounds like he's super frustrated as well with Triumphs lack of urgency. But dealership called me yesterday. England is sending them another alternator cover with the restrictor bolts already installed. So still not sure what the correct bolts are but I should hopefully have my bike back by next week.

That’s a bummer. You’re much more patient than I. Getting that repaired should be much more a priority to them. If it was my problem I would definitely be involved. A lot of the guys working in shops are not what you call “go getters”, they just work there. They do not follow up on things but instead wait to...

Got it. #27 comes with it, but curious why they cant reuse the bolts it came with if only the cover was damaged (guessing chain took it out)

That's crazy. Not sure who your dealer is, but someone there is definitely not doing their job. There is something called follow up that they should be doing - A LOT! I'm sure if one of their racers broke a side case they'd have it in days.

Tortuga Added a reply to Statement from Rich Taylor (LACR Lawsuit)

I've ridden LACR a lot through the years. It's one of the best, most well run tracks you'll find. They usually will not allow little 50's, really small kids on the track the same time as adults. 80's, yes. They will usually have a little kid, ladies practice if they get requested or there's an obvious need for one. Anyway...

You're probably right. Not at all condoning what the Taylors did, just pointing out that LACR is battling others doing the same. Being that this last case is very recent, it wouldn't surprise me that it's the reason for the shutdown, not a case from 7 years ago.

Obviously Taylor's lawsuit didn't help matters, but it was also 7 years ago. Unfortunately LACR is fighting a new lawsuit (Jan 2024) where it appears a mother is suing because her son was injured at a practice day. Look it up on Google, easy to find.
Same here. Just got mine back. I didn't notice the clutch pull as easier, but it never seemed hard to me before. They new map feels like they increased bottom end a bit more and it pulls strong to top. Pretty cool what Triumph is doing, they are essentially upgrading your 24 to a 25 model, at their cost. Also...

Picked up a base model Moro about a month ago. So far, all I’ve done is set sag front and rear, converted to tubeless and put better pedals on it. The base model components are still quality. It’s my first e-bike and I don’t think it will be my last. It’s a blast to ride! My screen says I can go about 23 miles in high mode and close to 50 in standard mode. I don’t think there is a better deal out there for 2k.
