Hannah is probably my all-time favorite rider. I wish he would think about what he says, though. As the father-in-law of a wonderful young woman of Asian descent, I think that his words were unfortunate. It may not sound as harsh as some racial epithets, but it isn't exactly a sign of respect, either.

Interesting that he seems to have almost free reign in trying things out, yet he hasn't been near anything from his Austrian neighbours, unless I missed it. Is it because he's faithful to the Jap bikes and prefers the general feel, or is it that it may be tougher to get assistance or market effectively due to KTM group bike and KTM / GasGas having their official Red Bull connection? I guess it may be wise either way, what with the bike setup complaints from Webb and Co last season and Kenny's apparent sensitivity to finding the right setup for...

...And to answer the OP's original question, yes - there could be 3 champions on 450s. (Assuming that's what you meant, tonyd.) If a rider takes 2nd in both MX and SX, but outscores either of the champions in those disciplines, he may collect enough of the "Super" championship points to be crowned the Super Motocross Champion. (That's how I understand it.)

I've had the pleasure of getting to know Matt and his family over the years announcing at Freestone for the JS7 every spring. He's a level headed young man for sure and comes from a hard working family so I'm not at all surprised to see his pragmatic way of moving on. Injuries really did him in as far as getting the results and that sucks.

seems like a very real and cool kid in that clip. hope he does well in life.
