I highly doubt that varner or harris do bad work....treat people bad....sure.......but as i've gotten and dumped more money into this as most of us have.....deal with your local engine builder that is respected.....these guys are just as good and you build a relationship

Eh, kinda sounds made up honestly. You sure you didn't just read about these "YZs" over on the MySpace?

There's a percentage of douchbaggery going on in here that leads to some posts (and posters) getting clipped. For example. People want answers. Derek posts a long and detailed response, and gets this... If you're not contributing something worthwhile to the thread, or too lazy to read what the guy has to say, maybe it's time to find somewhere else to post. Stuff like that irritates me.

You have no idea how I treat people Maybe stick to what you do know. I bend over backwards time and time again to help people and quite honestly I’m tired of it. I pull all nighters so kids can go racing the next day I help tons of people trackside for free when needed We give local kids parts help and support on labor I even help the competition. St js7 I remapped curren Thurman’s ecu for him and munn racing for no charge - no love - I don’t have anything to do with his engines or builder...

It showed 3 months after I was told it would with no contact info clearly shown. I had no idea who sent it or what it was and had forgotten at that point about the conversations had prior about the job. Originally I was asked if we could fix only the leaking drain bolt. And that it would arrive completely bare - because I had said I was really busy and if that’s all he wanted fixed - I would need to split the cases to do that and I was too backlogged to do so in a short time...

It was his thread. He can do what he wants with it. The people yelling at him for deleting it need to check themselves. I never saw the original thread. But the feeding frenzy is a little over the top.

All these bear pictures are weak. Here is me, my wife, and a bear all in one pic! He's obviously not interested either.

Some of you guys are so damn sensative Im am probably the biggest advocate of the 2 stroke you will ever meet. But Im also a realist. I have built 60hp 250 2 strokes. Trust me - youd cry trying to race it vs a good 250f over 35 minutes And youd also be surprised how close the 250f would be in a flat out accleration race Should we allow the rules to be true parity and equal cc? Yes Would the two stroke faithful be happy once we did have parity after the 250f won - which is my...

It is quite amazing tomac is in a two stroke twomac commercial - and kawasaki doesn't offer one.... Had a former client who quit riding mention that to me - asking if kawasaki had a 250 for sale after he watched that commercial recently.

swing by the shop one day and prove me wrong... We are planning a segment of youtube videos showing some of the testing and daily grind around the shop. In some of those segments will be some drag races - or more accurately put - roll races if you are into that world (im not) We do all that sort of testing at various start rpms, gears, etc - to get a picture of what the bike is doing. In roll racing - any additional front side of the curve adds up HUGE in the race - so you must...

Dunno who you are racing against, but I have to absolutely RAIL a corner to be able to keep up with the 4 strokes.

The are about the same peak HP to peak HP (torque totally different but that's not important in the manner people like to argue) The 250f also has a 3000-4000 LARGER window of usable power range and 5000-6000 higher rpm limit which helps with final drive gearing/mechanical advantage In fact - in many recent tests of mine - the 250f's will out drag race a 250 two stroke japanese bike stock to stock. The KTM 250sx being an exception to that - while MXA is reporting it maybe worse for 2019 - my dyno is reporting it to be stupidly...

'cuz the mighty 4-strokes need protecting. The money is in parts, and 2-strokes need less of them and they are cheaper.

I’m confused now. The people that wanted their stuff back had the opportunity to have a third party pick it up for them but now they’re trusting Varner’s tainted word of “After the holidays I’ll get around to it”. Just get your stuff back guys. Stop drinking the Kool-Aid.

Derek is a good guy, just not enough of him to go around to do everything he is attempting to do. Being a one man band, there just are not enough hours in the day. Learning to say no to a job is a learned art and some of us (yep, that's me Blush ) are slow learners. I wish him well, as I do Terry Varner. I hope OP gets back a engine that is meticulously worked and rips. And I hope everyone that has a vintage swing arm built in the Northwest US does not pay up front...

Terry is not well and I suggested him taking on a helping hand. Someone who can strip, do general cleaning and cover some admin. I'm concerned about him. He is one of the best out there. When I spoke to him he sounded old...if not tired. I pray for his health and I sure hope you all get sorted out.
