Obviously you have never funded your kids racing program. The spirit of the rule is to keep AMATURE racing affordable. Parents want affordable and fair racing. Deegan was racing a 60k bike against other kids on clapped out 5k bikes. Star Yamaha would/should have learned a lesson. Please explain how having a claiming rule "stunts technology growth" . In quotation because of your lousy grammar. try stunts technological growth-which is laughable. Most grass roots racing sports have a claiming rule to discourage exactly what Star did.

I remember reading the online race reports when RC went pro with extremely heightened interest. There was huge expectation from day 1 for him to clean up. He was the guy. He was turning faster lap times on superminis than the amateur nats pro classes.

I don't know if I've put it on here before or not and I'm not totally sure if or how it would work but I like the surfing model where they have a Championship Tour (CT) and a Qualifying Series (QS).. The CT would have a 'Fast 40' in both classes that are in the show every week no matter what, but would have to get a certain number of points during the season to stay in it for the next season and maybe the bottom 10 or 15 get turfed and you'd have another smaller QS that could qualify...

The personalities and characters are what adds the depth to any storyline. Think More AP and MS style than dominant performances. They are a theatrical company after all. No saying I’m into it...

You don't know what your talking about. He never said he could beat Degan if he was on a Star Yamaha. He just wanted to ride one(so do I) and he worked to earn the money to claim the bike. How he was bullied was inexcusable. Not sure how following the rules makes you an ahole. I'm still pissed about how they cornered a minor kid without his father present. Watch the interview before you start spouting b++++++t
