The really screwy thing is that given the way they've utilized those brands, they're either stuck with them or they die. Since they're utilizing KTM technology, you can't just sell them to someone else. Just a disastrous idea however you look at it to buy those brands and use them the way they did.

For 2023 the entire racing program was 95M euros, including 46M euros for Grand Prix racing, it's not what turned 255M into 776M debt that year. Nor is it what added 2B debt in 2024.

I'd like to know if KTM has ever really made any money over the past 10 years...even during their big years. How the eff do you get $3,000,000,000 in debt without someone getting involved and putting a stop to it long before now? That kind of debt doesn't happen overnight. Where were the auditors who review the F/S's every year? I've audited lots of companies over my career and we went over the financials with a fine tooth comb to report to the BOD's, banks and high level creditors. Their balance sheet must have looked crazy.

I'm no expert on parts procurement (and it sounds like you are), but won't it be hard to find new vendors if they just got done stiffing their current ones?

I said it before, you pay your employees first...nothing comes before this. This is the #1 rule of any business that relies on labor to build your product or service the company. I have lost any respect I had for this company that puts funding a race team, wherever the funds come from, before paying the people who build the product that is being raced. Oh, you can't buy groceries or pay your mortgage...because, we need to go race. Oh, don't be late for work BTW.

If the debtors agree to the plan for restructuring Pierer Mobility, and continue trading or if Pierer Mobility ceases trading and goes into bankruptcy, selling assets to the highest bidder.

Hundreds of workers that generate no income at a company teetering on the brink of bankruptcy…this could easily be viewed as an unnecessary expense by a potential investor.

What I find astonishing is when you try to find info on “KTM filing for bankruptcy” you find a November article on racer X and one other article on cycle news. Why is the Moto media trying to keep a lid on this. I listen to Pulp religiously and I haven’t heard a peep about it. I’ve learned the most about this from this thread. I hope like hell they figure it out (it’s not looking good) but was the Moto media told to keep a lid on this in fear it would drive people not in the know away...
