I picked up a YZ125 a couple months ago and started the cleaning and inspecting process. I also started collecting parts and researching forums for tips and ideas. Here's what I brought home for $400

Hi Andrew, I don't have the measurements on hand. The shock is way inside the frame, so I'm not sure I could measure it without taking it apart, but I'll take a look next time I'm in the shop.

You might reach out to DT-1 filters or Mika Metals, the same family developed/sold the TGT bars. I doubt they have any in an attic, but you might luck out. Probably best to wait until after Loretta's, as their kids are racing there and they're crazy busy at this time.

Love the trick Handlebar Air Reservoir set up. I did a google search and to my dismay, most of what came up was for HD Electra Glides haha. So, will you spill the beans and let us know where a set up can be purchased? At this point I'd rather purchase than reinvent the wheel.

I grew up racing in Michigan from 88 to 03 and love getting my kid into it. First we found a RM60 which is the yellow flavor of the 60’s I raced at Loretta’s and it seems hard to find the next step bike these days. We happened across a 1989 CR80 which was the closest we could find to the 1993-1995 models I raced. Changed the CDI and she came back to life. Plastic is impossible to find so it will stay as it is but I can’t wait to watch him ride it and give the old relic...

Wish I lived closer! Guess I was bored that day back in 2014 when I looked on google earth. Would love to kick the dirt until I found a souvenir. The old bikes chucked parts off constantly (still do). Imagine tripping over a half buried silencer or side panel haha.

I'll have to dig through some old photo albums I have...... But..... there was this one time I had to be at a meeting for all the Suzuki Team guys...... I was stationed at Clark AB which was a pretty good distance from Manila (where the Suzuki factory was located), so the manager had me come down the night before so I would be there early in the morning for the meeting. I wasnt gonna say it haha. Mine started giving me the side-eye after 20 but two are hers and she still let's me keep a few in the house. You should tell her it's a Christmas ornament.
