communism , political and economic doctrine that aims to replace private property and a profit-based economy with public ownership and communal control of at least the major means of production (e.g., mines, mills, and factories) and the natural resources of a society. 2 years ago the US government owned equity stakes in exactly 0 companies. Now under the trump administration the US govt has partial ownership in 30+ companies. That is the trump administration doing communism. He is seizing control over the means of production. If youre so scared of communism take a look in the mirror at whats going...

Finished these up this morning, ready for delivery. Matching bedside end tables to match the dresser I made recently. 110, and USB ports on the ends facing the bed. Crazy how heavy these became.

This is a sheetmetal enclosure I designed for an anesthesiologist cart. Originally these were welded enclosures because they need to isolate RF tags on all the expensive/dangerous/highly addictive meds that live inside. It tracks everything inside constantly and you have key/fingerprint access. Gets opened many times every surgical case. I did it with simple sheetmetal overlap joints and riveted together...

I hope all is well my dude. There seems to be an absence of funny southern colloquialisms and colorful pictures in your posts as of more recently. It is good to see the light. And since we are diurnal and not nocturnal the light also helps you see in the first place. But, staring at the light too long or...

If even his own party won't follow him, he's either not leading or is a crappy leader. If he is losing lifelong conservatives (like me), he's either not leading or is a crappy leader. If moderate democrats won't follow him, he's either not leading or is a crappy leader. Post all the statistics you want, post all the accomplishments you want...a "leader" that can't get anyone to follow him either isn't leading or is a crappy leader. I look forward to the day Trump/MAGA are out of American politics. Not because I don't agree with most of what they are...

Trump is really losing me with all this non-sense...to the point I'm almost gone...can he at least try and lead this country without the ego/pettiness? Take the high road once in a while? Keep his mouth shut and let his policies do the talking? Honestly...the constant drama, personal attacks, unnecessary fights...it's getting incredibly difficult to support this guy... And worse? His extremism, pettiness and ego is giving serious momentum to the communist/socialist extremists on the Left...remember folks, extremism breeds extremism...the pendulum has been swinging radically back and forth in America for a long time...and Trump is just accelerating that...America needs...

Why would we do that? This whole thing has been great for oil companies. $93B in combined second quarter profits for them actually. - $14.5B for ExxonMobil. More than doubled their earnings from previous year. - $12B in profit for Chevron. More than quadrupling their income from same period in 2025. - Saudi Aramco brought in over $33B, a 34%...

I think everyone battles with underestimating other’s intelligence and overestimating their own (Dunning-Kruger). Knowing what you don’t know, is as important as, knowing what you do know. The best leaders have the ability to put ego aside and choose the best qualified people for positions. You should want dissenting viewpoints to strengthen your own position, be malleable enough to change your position when it is shown to be flawed. That is what true leadership looks like. It’s having ethics and morality, but showing humility and human decency when incorrect, instead of trying to blame everyone else.

These are the dangers of connecting our identity to someone else, we're forced to defend them to no end as a matter of defending ourselves. It's a common predatorial tactic. The fact is that Trump is not the blue man dr manhattan and there's no 4d chess. He's just a bitter old guy in diapers that can't stay awake and can't run a casino without going bankrupt. Not to nullify the sentiment of those that fell for his scam, it's just that he's not the one to help those folks realize their wishes. On the plus side, conservatism will be...

Everything in Trump’s life is transactional. Business partnerships, marriages, the presidency. However, unlike a failed business venture, Trump cannot simply file the Iranian conflict for bankruptcy. He assumed Iranian leadership would quickly acquiesce, despite knowledgeable people advising him differently. Trump’s in deeper than he ever imagined, and it’s buried deep inside his melon.

Also, Iran is one of the oldest continuous major civilizations. I think we just celebrated 250. This thing in Iran will end when we leave. I'd be willing to bet this whole ordeal ranks quite high on The Donfather's list of regrets. Though I'm surely the dumb one assuming he might have one of those eh. Although, I guess we...

Our small group of friends runs the gamut of, political beliefs, income levels, believers, non believers, dope smokers, bourbon sippers, etc... And none of that comes into play when we're together. The stuff that we poke each other with online, or our group text, in the real world around our campfires, never puts us at odds with each other. So many in here would fit right in with our bunch of goofballs. Unless you didn't keep the fire properly stoked... Edit: Point being, everyone goes home Sunday night, or Monday morning chilled. Right down to the bone.

Bandsaw is still probably the most dangerous tool in the shop 😂. I didn't do all the machining on this frame, but I did design it/knee assembly and roughed it before our actual machinist finished the job. I can do 3/4 axis programming but I haven't had the opportunity to fiddle with 5 axis much. For what we do it's...
