Update - Jake has been moved to the hospital's inpatient therapy center after spending some time in the trauma ICU. He will be there for about 4-6 weeks, maybe even more. The good news is that his pain is under control now that they have figured out the right medication. However, yesterday was his first day of therapy, and it was tough. He had to get 42 staples in his back. Unfortunately, he still can't move yet, but he's slowly getting very slight feeling each day.
