7/15/2025 2:50pm Fully agree. I love racing, but this is ridiculous. Reduce the race count and rework the schedule. While we are at it, let’s rotate in new venues for both SX and MX.

Feel like we’re going to see more and more of this with the implementation of SMX. They need to cut a race or two from each SX and MX and give these guys a legit period of rest and recovery. MX, SX, and SMX is too much for these guys, as much as I like watching the races.

This baffles me. Seriously. This mindset of guys basically hitting the LazyBoy at 30+ is insaneeeeee. Hes 32 not 45. I just rolled 30 and I’m more fiery than I’ve ever been, exponentially. Stronger, smarter, my VO2 and body comp, recovery times… Idk what happens to some of you guys if you fell off at 30 but I’m ready to conquer and I imagine Eli even more so but with wisdom and experience in His corner. The Honda certainly gets the power to the ground. Not just the start, everywhere. The starts are next level. Not just acceleration, but the consistency. The rear suspension looks incredible.

Is it time to accept that bike setup matters at the very top more now than ever? Are the days of just saying “winners find a way to win” or “it’s pretty good, just learn to ride it” over? I caught that too. Jett landed off that triple and just yarded him. I keep saying it, Honda is on another level with bike setup. The riders on them are elite but there is more going on than that.

I remember asking myself the same question during the race, but I’m pretty sure the star guys aren’t allowed to disclose injuries per contract if my memory serves correct. His bike looks like absolute crap and those Hondas look like be best handling machines out there. Which is especially odd considering I’d say the exact opposite about both bikes off the showroom floor. Whatever Honda and the Lawrence’s are doing with their bikes, I don’t think they could have them any more dialed in while Eli and Yamaha are doing whatever they can to make that #3 Yamaha look like the worst bike out there.

This is going to be talked about for the rest of time. Every time its a top racers last race of their career they will ask if maybe he could “pull a jmart and rip both holeshots and win his last race ever”. People are always going to remember this. This is going to be one of those things you always remember that enters the moto trivia like RV holeshotting and winning mxon on the 250.
