I don't blame Deegan (or the others) for trying to get that edge, and I don't blame the AMA for penalizing it. Take the chance, pay the piper. No issue with JT commenting on it given commenting on the race is his job. Believe he got a penalty or fine for something like this way back one weekend when they decided to go hard on it. It's just a push-push back dynamic that always will be there when athletes are looking for any edge.

James handled it properly. He let the racers race the AMA officiate and he just announced the race. JT on the other hand????? He’s “that guy” But hey don’t have to worry about bed bugs when you sleep alone.

Honestly, I don't see a lot of Deegan excuses by him or his fans in terms of his performance. People either celebrate or hate his behavior, but I don't see anyone on his side making excuses for it. Maybe rename this the OFFICIAL Deegan's delusions thread, cause both the lovers and haters equally contribute.

That was a great question from JT to Deegan. He should be commended for having the courage to ask it. It showed Deegan will lie at times. I kind of don't blame Deegan for trying that line, though. Very creative, but it didn't pay off. Track designers/crew screwed up IMO with how they marked it. Deegan earned the penalty.

You bunch of amateurs, it’s only cheating if you get caught. If you ain’t cheating you ain’t racing you’re just riding. Deegz and crew need to learn from their mistake and pay closer attention to camera placement when making “freestyle” line choices. And more importantly where JT is (he did that on purpose).

Kinda like when he got around Hunter, who gets praised and comments like Jett shold let him take the lead. Thing is, without Deegs making a few mistakes, Hunter had nothing for him. Matter of fact, Deegs gapped Hunter by almost 3 seconds before another mistake allowed Hunter to get back on him. If that's not improvement i don't know what is?
