These are the red flags for me: Crosser Loves the back wheel Powerband in every gear Recent full rebuild (told by previous owner, no proof) Low hours (on a 2001 trashed bike) Any other good ones? Buying and selling bikes can be a painful experience!

Make a professional resume with race & academic achievements, and a few photos. Look up all the company addresses and get to mailing. Worked 20 years ago and it still works now. As others have said..Running an Instagram with pics and videos posted regularly is a huge plus, easy to tag companies and get their attention if he’s something special.

We put together a Rider Support Educational Series to help folks understand the ins and outs of rider support so they can make the most out of it. Most of us working for companies in the industry built those relationships through rider support. The blogs are a couple years old but still certainly helpful. As a sponsor at the highest levels, yes, social media, building a brand around yourself is a massive part of the process these days. Your presentation must be super professional, your conduct in the pit area, bike presentation... Of course, race results too. If you do approach companies, don't just ask ' can I have free stuff, I'll tell my...

Please explain how so ? Because I want my son to have a competitive bike if he makes it to LL. 1hp or a .5 on a pw is a huge advantage. He probably won't be a top pro,, but guess what ?? More pros have started their career on a PW at Loretta's than any other bike made... I also guarantee 100% of their dads wanted every little advantage they could get..

So after listening to the pulp show about how Deegan got screwed on the red flag restart, I got to thinking about a fix. Rather than do a staggered restart, or this crap they are talking about with pointing a flag at each rider, why don't we use actual "modern technology". Simply have the gate set up where each gate can be programmed to drop independently. Then if a restart is needed, just re-gate the riders and have their gates fall in the sequence of how they were on the last official lap. Hell, you could even set it up...

After a spinal injury on a 250 Smoker, I returned, feeling safer, just being on the track on a 125. Done with the speed, for me, not what it's about. Just being out there, havin' fun. And, making it look hot in the process, maybe a little too far!

1st off…That 5 speed MX bad ass motor is all Triumph. That frame? Yup…allllll Triumph. Those electronics? Triumph. Weight…? Well, are we ready to be surprised? Is it going to be as light as a KTM? Or will it be in-line with, say, the Yamaha? As for parts availability? Having parts in the system and readily available is part of the scheduled model development and product delivery. I have friends that have a bad habit of dropping/crashing their Tigers and needing parts that they never thought they’d need…no problem. Can I say that for some more popular brands that are...

I’ve wondered the same thing. Of course I wish them all success, however it is a small sport and only so much to go around.

I come from the BMX world where back in "my day" (insert old man emoji) there were a handful of brands and the pro's were paid well with the amateurs being supported well too. Then came more brands. At first it was great because their start up or opening budgets supported additional riders...but then reality hits after year two or three as they come to find out the pie had not grown, but the slices just smaller. This had a negative affect on the original brands as their customer base had been affected (reduced) with more brand offerings. So my...
