I am like that. I often can't recall any details of a race once I have finished. In the past I have crashed and been unable to remember by the time I finished the race. I think it is more a result of concentrating so hard on riding than being unaware, though.

I never know what gear I'm in when riding - I instinctively select gears from the pull and sound of the bike. I can't imagine how hard it would be to count gears. If I did that, I would have to ride a lot slower to maintain concentration. When learning a new jump, I usually roll it a few times...

Cairoli is creating quite a legacy - winning 6 world titles is no mean feat however you choose to look at it. Good on him. It is a shame many of Tony's would be competitors have moved to the US, but that is out of his hands. The fact that these riders chose not to contest the series should not...

Just to clarify, I knew the guy wasn't serious - I don't think somebody could genuinely be that ignorant. I just found him annoying and didn't think the video was at all funny. I don't really GAF if people don't recognise the skill involved in motocross anyway.

What a tool. I stopped watching at the 30 second mark - couldn't stand him any longer.

The RM's of that era looked cool, IMO. I don't think the large '99/'00 shrouds looked that bad. Check out this thread for pictures of the Factory Suzuki's over the years. I guess they must have run both shrouds at different times in 2000:

I think it was a bit mean of Dowd to say that, but DV is a grown man and should be able to take it. I am liking the new RacerX "Rewind" feature. The Jeff Emig and Buddy Antunez ones were quite good too.
