Was it him who was tasered at an airport a few years back? I seem to remember it took 4 charges to bring him down.

I don't mean to be a dick, but is this for real? Comments such as "statue of liberty chick I want to get tattooed" and "the strip club where my chick works" kind of sound like things peelout would write. Team Stiffie was a bit before my time, but I remember seeing a stiffie ad in a magazine when I...
You probably didn't ever say it - I just assumed that was the case from all the anti 4-stroke stuff you post. For the record, I feel the same way as you about each of those points. Apologies for taking this thread through a detour.
I probably had the most fun during the first few years I raced as it was so new and exciting to me, even though I sucked. I found that practising and improving as a rider was rewarding, but my results began to frustrate me once I got more serious about it. If you had a lot of talent and were...

That looked a bit risky. I wonder if it is a mirror image or something?
Cody Cooper moved back to New Zealand at the end of the 2009 season. He has been riding a Suzuki in the Australian and New Zealand nationals since then. Cody had raced successfully in Aussie for quite a few years before he went to the USA at the end of 2007, so he didn't really come from nowhere.

Cool video. It looks like he has a pretty sweet track and setup there. That injury had to be crushing for him. I have always been a big fan and look forward to seeing him back riding again.

I have always been a pretty big fan of the MX GP's, but sadly I have to agree with you Jeffro. Luonogo/Youthstream has done a lot to raise the profile of the series, but I get the impression he is feathering his own nest at the expense of the teams and riders, and the quality of the events is suffering...

That gear actually looks pretty sweet. It is a lot more modern looking than the 2012/1987 gear he has been wearing. I would happily wear it.

Ok. 15 seconds a lap is a lot. Riders that far off the pace could be a hazard. In the NZ nationals, if you are more than 110% slower than the average lap time of the top ten, you do not qualify. Perhaps they could implement a rule along those lines in the GP's. It could make the field pretty...

Ok, thanks for the info. Please excuse my ignorance. New Zealand is only 1600km long from top to bottom, so it is hard for me to have any sort of perspective on those kind of distances.

Vinnie sure does know how to make himself unpopular. Busting moves like that in practice is just stupid. I also thought he seemed like a bit of a doucher on DMXS.

I disagree with a lot of the things Youthstream does, but I think having GP's in different continents/far away countries is kind of cool. It has got to be an expensive exercise for the teams though. I thought most of the riders usually travelled to the GP's in their motor homes? Is the Russian round too far away for that...

I know what you mean. On the other hand, it is kind of dangerous and makes the events look a bit amateurish when the local riders in countries like Mexico and Brazil are far slower than the regular GP riders.
