I think for a one off its a good choice, i think they should get decent pr from this and i dont see a much better alternative available. But imo a top 10 finish would be a win

Not sure how good Hinderson is on the hard pack. He will be in the mix for wins at sand though. I kind of understand why he stayed in emx125. Imo he can be top 5 rider which should put him on the map for a decent offer for emx250. Not sure he got offered much after last year

Yeah Motocrossplanet took over. The posts on MXvice of recent days are exact copies of what is posted on Mxplanet (translated to english obviously). Not sure if that is going to work. Really like MXplanet for what it is (always the latest new of euro and national (dutch) racing online right away). But the quality of the content is low...

I'm not so sure about that. Guillen actually is good in the sand, she won Sardegna ast year and als went 3-2 in Arnhem. I'm curious about Duncan, she has not been that good in the sand and waa far off at Spain

Well he did finish his contract with them, he just moved to Husqvarna which was an upgrade for him. I don't know if there were issues, but if there were it certainly wasnt comparable to his Fantic ending.

i've spoken with a factory rider who said his factory team left the diet and physical training as a responsibility of him. This rider said his emx team would not give him that freedom but was very strict and basically present at all training. I'm under the impression Marc is also involved/present at the majority of all the work the...

Roan is a perfect example why the age rule sucks. The guy podiumed like 10 GP's but never won and now he has to race MXGP. Imo he will follow guys like Jacobi, Sterry, Beaton, Mewse, Boisrame etc. etc. and be out of MXGP full time in a year or 2. Not sure what we gain by pushing guys like...

Bonacorsi also spent 4 years in EMX125, he only really came good when he won the title in his 4th year on the Fantic.

Elzinga and Bonacorsi also had years to win it. I understand why they stayed, the title gets you a ride at factory yamaha. But imo they are not gp championship material

I am not sure if the focus on getting the emx250 title for Yamaha will lead to MX2 contenders. The KTM/HQV approach of moving kids up regardless of winning a title seems like a much better approach then keeping them 3+ years in emx250 to win a title

My impression as well. Felt like a situation of Jorge has a gap, its only 1 point, i'm fine. Not saying Gajser was going to win it just that i dont think he was all out. Herlings looked like he had serious speed.

Guadagnini and Samuel Nilsson are also out for MXGP and MX2 this weekend. Kind of a shame for Nilsson, his home gp and would be interested to see how he would perform, he was impressive in the spanish championship in the preseason versus good gp competition.

Well Lommel doesnt clash with the outdoors this season so any US rider that wants to give it a try could theoretically enter

Yes indeed. And i think many see a calendar that includes Turkey, Latvia and Portugal which is roughly 15.000 km and days in the van and think i won't be doing the full season anyway.

Fully agree that MXGP dropped the ball on this badly. But man these teams also have themselves to blame. They have been going to far away places for years and nobody asked up front about what the arrangements are in case of emergencies?
