The first of two Spanish GP's this season. Personally not the biggest fan of the manmade track at Arroyomolinos. Additional classes are EMX250 and WMX, who will start their seasons.

I remember the days when there used to be over 100 riders trying to qualify for EMX250.
Seems entries across all classes is low and I think it was the same for Spain last year too. Not sure why. I'm sure someone will know...
Could be because a lot of teams are based in Northern Europe so it’s quite a long drive to Spain.
Yes I remember as well, but we shouldn't forget that class got a lot more professional and I can imagine if you are a privateer with the small chance you can actually qualify it's not worth it to go all the way to Madrid in the middle of Spain.

Roan van de Moosdijk and Fantic Factory Racing part ways with immediate effect.
Have you heard of why?
in a dutch magezine in a interview they where very happy it looked like
Weather looks perfect, around 20-25°C all weekend (68-77°F).
Yes indeed. And i think many see a calendar that includes Turkey, Latvia and Portugal which is roughly 15.000 km and days in the van and think i won't be doing the full season anyway.
Still no Alberto Forato this weekend, after he suffered 8 broken ribs and a collapsed lung during a practice crash last week.
Guadagnini and Samuel Nilsson are also out for MXGP and MX2 this weekend.
Kind of a shame for Nilsson, his home gp and would be interested to see how he would perform, he was impressive in the spanish championship in the preseason versus good gp competition.
That Crash was yesterday training in france for mxgp Spain.
Hope he get well soon...
Rough start of this 2024 MXGP season for Forato!
Fernández out aswell, as he suffers a torn ACL that requires surgery.
Fernandez will miss many rounds after qualifying race crash.
He will finally undergo surgery to heal his anterior cruciate ligament, which means that in addition to Madrid, he will miss several more races with a return date yet to be determined.
Is Everts riding?
Yes he will be back on the gate this weekend. He is back on the bike for a week now.
Good to hear. With 19 rounds left he is 100% still in it. Dang though, if Coenen can keep it off the ground he will be tough to beat. That guy is an animal
Pit Row
The GP teams don’t fuck around.
omfg this set up is insane. Could you imagine if i roll up with this set up to the next saturday at the glen?
What a shame for Rubén, let's hope for a speedy recovery.
Lucas Coenen over a second faster as De Wolf in free practice. Jeez.

MXGP Timed Practice:
Any else’s stream just crashed?
Mine's fine but one bitch I've got is that they mount the cameras way to low at this track. Most of them are at ground level and not good for following the racing.
Haven't read through all the replies yet but word is that Roan is known for his lack of effort when it comes to off the bike training.
The team saw him slacking and terminated the contract.
great pass by Everts 👍
