Heard this rumour as well, but they have a LOT of sponsors coming from Belgium. Makes sense that they want to keep van Doninck on board. Seems like Honda wants to have a structure just like Yamaha does. EMX250, MX2, MXGP team(s). Not sure what they will do with Standing Construct though, according to the interview with the team owner they're still waiting with clear offers

I have been hearing a rumor some weeks ago that Honda approached JM to be the official EMX250 team for Honda, but unsure if that is really true or not. Werner signed with KTM and today I have been reading an article about Osterhagen being out of ride. Apparently they are planning to continue with Brent regardless.

It really has nothing to do with the original argument but you are literally proving my point. If a bike close to stock already starts boiling over and smoking you know it can't keep up. But my opinion is based, I looked at the TM engine, how it is constructed and configurated and I have to admit it is an...

As I was reading over on the JT$ thread, seeing him and DV12 posting there makes me wonder how many riders, mechanics and other team members, or industry people lurk or actually post here under pseudonyms. You can tell Weege is here reading from things he refers to on his shows. I guess it would be a smart thing to do if you want to keep your finger on the pulse of the fan base. Do you think most of the people in the industry are active here on a regular basis? Anybody want to man up besides DV and...

I don't state it's a bad bike for the average user but I see nearly weekly in person how underpowered Yago Martinez his bike is compared to the competition and how often he has bike issues. It's not a competitive platform in MX2 and very unreliable.

I think if you are a privateer and your are hopping on any other brand then an Austrian in MX2 GP then you are doomed if you try to build a strong engine. Martinez had a lot of issues with the TM, Scott Smulders blew 4 engines in Arnhem alone, last year Polak had quite some issues with the Yamaha on a privateer team, etc. Obviously F&H always had quite some budget so for them it might be different.

I know from one of the best engine builders in the business that the Suzuki engine till this date can still be competitive and indeed HEP and Bar-X have been proving that in the AMA series. In the US they can use way different fuel compared to the FIM regulations and that's the biggest difference in power output as the...

With all respect but the TM is not up to par with the other brands on this level. The TM 250 is also not very reliable. The Suzuki is maybe an old platform, but actually capable of making good horsepower. I also wonder what F&H will do. I wouldn't be surprised if they are going to run Yamaha's next year.

Never got official support, the team was buying Yamaha’s left and right but never had official Yamaha support in any way, shape or form.

How much support is their support anyways? Really eager to learn what F&H will do next year. They had a hard year this year, with only Prugnieres in MX2, he showed some great speed in Turkey and at some other occassions. I see that De Reuver is working a lot with Bonacorsi as well, maybe he can make the move to the team and they will make the step to the MXGP class? Just speculating here. Have to say, Bonacorsi is not talked about enough here. It is his first full season as a GP pro. Last year he was...

Exactly, but if Tiga is able to get 2 wins today he can back-off in China and Spain to control from 3th place. Has been riding with his head the whole season which makes him for me one of the greatest ever.

Well, truth be told, I started it a few years ago… It was initially a BYOB (bring your own bike) program, and I helped some kids get parts and gear to go racing. Last season, fellow Vital member Dirtbikemike decided to step back from fielding his arenacross team, opening up the door to partner with Motonation Suzuki (his dealership partner). So, I did what any smart person with a baby on the way would do… I bought two RM-Z250’s, and some engine parts from JGR and started knocking on sponsors' doors for parts help. Last season started out rough with...

My bike is stamped as assembled in Thailand so last time I checked that wasn't India. Sure its not Hinkley but Triumph does have their own manufacturing in Thailand, not outsourced to Bajaj. Everyone seems to have a weird thing about Bajaj in the motocross world but as far as I'm aware its only ever been proven that the manufacturers that work with them outsource small entry level street bike production there...

Market cap means not much, it depends of the cycle. Boomslang, please feel free to update the title as it may cause a lot of damage to the brands whereas, althought they have difficulties, it is nowhere near a disaster. Basically they lost in the first half of the year what they made last year, 172 million euros. Last year they made 160, and 235 in 2022. It is mostful due to slower bike sales, almost 1.4 billion in the first half of 2023, vs. 1 billion "only" in the first half of 2024. Based on this slowdown, I think...
