Do you have positive skills that you can contribute to a local MX track? We are building new MX tracks in all regions of Maryland and need engineers, fence builders, heavy machinery operators, constructive construction workers that will be part of a team of people building and maintaining a track. If this sounds good to you please visit the facebook...

Hey Grady I ended up getting that book right after that! They have a nice DVD also that they send out for free. All of that was really helpful. Oh, and after talking to the Deputy Planning Director today I recalculated and it's only $5,500 if I go by limits of disturbance. We could probably raise that with donations. I'll...

Yeah feel free to attend the next meetings, and introduce yourself. Check the facebook page for whenever we come up with a date for meetings - right now no one has called one (we let the public call the meetings if they want because we consider these tracks to be the Public's tracks). Wow there went a low-flying helicopter! WTF...

T-Bone's is now Earl's. Earl is a really nice guy and he grew up riding on that track. We'll get him a permanent place in the pits! I like the idea of a club or something like it - but yeah the problem is 20% will still do the work whether there are incentives or not. I'm taking on a...

Yeah I posted because the County (the final arbiter of what constitutes impervious surfaces) tells me that the track on which the dirtbike rides is considered compacted soils, and thus impervious. Also my partner in the Motocross Council, a civil engineer, told me that first. I was hoping, beyond hope, that someone here who has experience dealing with environmental regs...

Bump? No really. We need workers that will be part of a team to build MX tracks. 15 months and no reply? I guess there's not enough MX people in Maryland - we'll have to change that. I've come to ask anyone who has successfully started a track to discuss impervious surfaces with me. You'll know what that means if...

Not speaking for the track, I think I heard that MX would be $30 to race whenever they have those. Around here $40 for HS is perfectly normal. And being as there has not been any promotion for this event, getting 250 would actually be quite nice for Maryland. When was the last Hare Scramble in Maryland anyway?
Just as the Topic Title says, we are opening a track in Maryland and need workers. Would be on a volunteer basis, and not for profit. Not soliciting here, to be clear. The Maryland State DNR is doing this. Potentially, we will have a string of tracks all across Maryland! Let's jump-start the economy! We're starting out West but will...

I would have preferred a more visually pleasing track like Gaildorf but maybe Germany couldn't handle a Des Nations. Just remember the FIM got to chose the track they thought would favor the Euros the most and they chose this one.
Yeah the Reed video was baddass. But the RIGGING is back! And in all this time since Pala was added to the circuit, couldn't they plant some trees? Or some grass? It looks like a Factory Practice Track. I miss the back-east tracks already. UPDATE: The TV coverage was so good I was able to see more of the elevation...
We are already planning it. Chances are it will be out in the County however, not the city itself. We are developing relationships with County Commissioners from Baltimore to Washington Counties to get new tracks there. We'll have an announcement shortly on reopening one of the long-closed tracks. Also we are actively seeking the support of committed volunteers to begin...
