The Pala track.......looks like a giant SX track on Steroids!

Maybe I missed the previous helmet cam videos before. But I just watched the helmet cam video of Joe Rossi , and was blown away at what I saw. With a lot of big air jumps and as rough as what I saw Pala get last year.....that track is gonna take a few victims today I think. That's not a slam on the track.....as I think it's a really cool layout and the track guys looked to do an excellent job on the prep. Just saying it looks like it's going to be really challenging. I believe this is the only track on the whole circuit that's is 100% "man made" correct?

really thats how it should be. national tracks should be pro calibur, not something the average guy can jump everything on it

Watch the Reed GoPro helmet cam, it is bad ass. They break away and show side shots of the jumps, very cool addition to the helmet cam. Today is going to be epic....GO RV! Would like to see Reedy get the OA but RV get the title!

Yeah the Reed video was baddass. But the RIGGING is back! And in all this time since Pala was added to the circuit, couldn't they plant some trees? Or some grass? It looks like a Factory Practice Track. I miss the back-east tracks already.

UPDATE: The TV coverage was so good I was able to see more of the elevation changes. For a super pro rider, it must have been fun. More than I could handle but if you are used to riding 80 on a dirtbike, it had to be awesome. Good job TV crew. You got me that time!

Track looks super fun to me....if I had the balls and skill to jump that stuff and rail those corners like they do. hahaha.

I wonder how the racers feel about it. Our opinions mean jack squat, in my opinion. lol

I have never been out there before. Honestly I was bummed when Glen Helen left the series so I was expecting to hate the place. But, even though I tend to like more natural old school style tracks I thought Pala was a good series finale' and looked pretty good on TV last year. The videos of the place are just like you said "a giant SX track on Steroids!"
I'd love to go ride out there sometime but won't be launching those huge doubles like Reed!!! In the helmet cam earlier this week it looks pretty cool.

Pala is a great track. Glen Helen is a great track. Hangtown is a great track. We need all 3 back on the circuit for 2012.

That track dosnt even compare to GH or Hangtown. Looks like a decent track but National caliber??

Pala and Freestone are national caliber. They both produce great racing and challenge the riders in different ways than all the other tracks on the circuit. Diversity is the key. Otherwise just have the entire series at Red Bud. I always wished I could attend a pro outdoor supercross standing 20 feet away from the track on the ground instead of being a half mile away 90 feet up in the air sitting in the stands at a sx.

this track is gonna end someones career. this should not be a national race track. should have to force a track to be a national, and thats what they did by adding huge man made jumps. someone is gonna get seriously hurt.

I hope you're wrong, and I'm sure you do so too, but I agree. It's incredible to watch them huck those jumps but the risk involved is just insane. You can make hard jumps that "average joe" can not clear without putting the landing in another zip code.

Nevertheless, this track is entertaining to watch.

Oh shit Steve....I'm sorry! yes , i remember you , and thank you for helping me out that day. I was almost going to bag going to Wards creek because it's supposed to be in the mid 90's.....but I'm going anyways. Gonna be a hot one! maybe see you at mtn view next week.
