Did they reopen or something along those lines? I went out there a few years ago and it was in pretty rough shape.

Cowbranch Mx Park has been re-opened by new owners. The track design has been completely changed to accommodate riders of all skill levels.

Pretty sad to see someone bash a track! You should be grateful the owners are willing to put in the hard work, make no money, just so we have a place to ride!!!!

I give it maybe one season. End up like Parker Valley, Strawberry Hill, Andrews MX yada yada yada. Being from NY has nothing to do with having an opinion of where we ride there Mr JoJo. Thanks for having absolutely no basis for your comment.

cow branch was bad ass when i was there last, sand, big bumps, big jumps and no one else there.

i looked up some recent video and appearence wise it looks like its gone down hill but the track still looks fun other then being a little thin.


New track should be awesome. good for the new owners!

You mean Parker Valley that was open for 7 years and hosted events that had almost 1000 entries in one day?

You mean Strawberry Hill that was open for a total of about 15 years and hosted many great events?

Andrews was open for many many years as a practice track.

What is your point?

Point is that Cowbranch will be in the "closed" state before long no matter who owns or manages it. No money in amateur racing anymore including the practice tracks and race promoters. Amateur MX has been on a downward spiral for the last 5 plus years and it doesn't look like it will end up very well. Ask Moto Joe......he knows 1st hand that the money has left the building.

I don't understand your motivation in coming on a board and bad mouthing a track for no real reason.

perhaps negative people are more of the reaon our sport is struggling than many other issues.

Why don't you move on to another topic?

Your never going to ride it, have no experience about the track, owners, state of MX in this region, etc.

I know of several practice only tracks in NC that are doing VERY well. I've been riding them every weekend this winter and see plenty of others.
