I was just out there last Sunday. The track was great, just muddy. The track has been in good shape the last few times I have been there. They don't have a water truck so I usually just go after a rain.

In Formula 1 they have a similar idea called the Constructors championship. The team actually wins money for it from the FIA or promoters. This would probably just make the bigger budget teams have bigger budgets.
