Pro Motocross on Sunday? Yes/No? Why?

Personally, IMO, the sport needs to get back to what makes it great. And Sunday racing is a good start.

Sure, the TV types prefer Saturday (we assume), but if the sponsors, TV, etc... think the sport is cool, they should come to us (so to speak).

I kind of like Saturday. We spend the night at Freestone on Saturday night to skip the crowd and the drive home at that time.

was moved to saturday originally due the rigors on the riders. it made for a better planned week for travel and getting home, etc...

having that many events over the summer and piled into 2 days was grueling in and out every week. I kinda like how it is now.

I like the Sat. format also. Plus it would be practically impossible to get a Live TV slot on Sundays.

I screamed long and loud about the switch to Saturdays. I hated the idea. It was blasphemy to change a long time Sunday tradition. Well I changed my mind pretty quickly. I like the Saturday format now, except for not being able to hang out and chill in the pits all day Saturday.

As a fan,I like the GP format better.
Qualifying on Saturday then race on Sunday.
Gives us 2 days of racing to follow and kill time.
But I understand the 1 day Saturday format and can live with it. Smile
No gripes about it.

mx is for sundays always has been always will be, but pro mx isnt even mx anymore its goddam nascar bullshit, with timed qualifing, thats just fukin pissa i hate timmed qualifing, that has nothing to do with racing, no gate drop, no blocking a faster guy by protecting your lines up the inside, and no endurance whatsoever , just one fast lap and your in whooopy! mine as well watch the NHRA!

yup its eaiser on the riders, bullshit! its their god dam job, there aint no one here makin my job easier, o ya and it costs more money to run saturday qualifing and sunday racing, yup its another day so instead of just taking a certian ammount of guys take everyone on saturday, late entries and everything theres your money for the "to expensive to run two days"

back in the day it took till practice was over to even figure out who the local boys were, but at least then you could look for them in the qualiys and see how they did, and they didnt have to tell thier buddies they almost made it in cuz you could actually see how qualifing went

Not necessarily, just looking for a snapshot to see how many feel the same way as I do. Apparently not many..

Lets be honest here. What the Nationals need is not so many damn weekends off. Run 6 races give them 2 weeks off then do the last 6. Then they could be done 4 or 5 weeks earlier. Maybe have a real " off season"
