Yes, Brent Kirk has been in the biz awhile. Never had any problems with his work, maybe not the cheapest place but good quality. If it's a CRF450, he usually has quite a few options depending on your needs.

As I remember they were in both Brookside, then Veyo Utah-but close to St. George/ Washington Utah area. Rocky Mountain Atv is in Washington Utah and about 20 min. from where RAD used to be, I would call them (should be the KTM Kawasaki branch). If you don't have any luck call John at: http://xfrproatv.com/ he's been around the area...

You could also check with Phil at crankworks.com, he often crosses over late model rods for application like yours. Usually it may be slightly longer, if it is longer your in luck. Cometic makes 82-83 CR 480 top end gaskets, when they have a pattern like your bike they can make you a custom gasket, spacer, shim to fit your...

A good friend of mine takes it daily after a car vs m/c accident many years ago, its a must have for him. If you have any inflammation in the area of pain, I take this daily: http://www.newchapter.com/force-of-the-whole/turmeric-force There are less expensive brands but this form is a paste in capsule form since they put the extracted oils back in.

RiV Added a reply to 1978 C2 RM250 frame fix and engine mods?

10/22/2015 12:16pm
They do only work with full reed from the intake, Boyesen port is probably not the best description. Picture you have the cases apart and 1 half in hand, set the cylinder w/o case reed installed. When you look at the area where the cylinder sleeve & the engine case meet in the case reed area, imagine a nice radiused...

As far as power mods, I mostly ran the stock modified cage as you are talking about doing. I never saw any downside to that mod. To take full advantage on the 250/370 you need to cut the rear of the sleeve. I usually cut a large "thumbnail" shaped area from the rear of the sleeve. the EC Birt cylinder...

RiV Added a reply to New 36mm Round Slide on Suzuki RM 400

More experience w/78 250/400 but the jetting looks to be very similar. Should be able use 250 carb as well, 77,78 & 78C2 carbs will work, C2 does not have an idle screw...as I recall. 370/400s too, just make sure the slide is the same cutaway since their pricey. Get a new needle jet, they tended to oval out at...

RiV Added a reply to FMF Titanium Silencer

So an engine that runs Ti valves will need to run heavier valve springs to offset valve float with the heavier valves......but they run lighter springs with Ti......hmmm maybe the valves are hollow? This engine stuff is REALLY confusing, lets get back to exhaust stuff-especially concerning two strokes!

My buddy's Elsinore ran the T&M swingarms but they had I believe 2 sets of Ottow's weld on fork bottom/extensions, it came with longer damper rods. I would love to see one of his swingarms, his mod forks were very cool! Not much overlap on the beefy 35mm forks though, his Dad would rotate the forks in between moto's because...

I have had both the 82 & 83, the 83 did like the 82 head for more hit but it also had the timing retarded compared to the 82 model. Do both and it does hit a lot harder but I felt less wheelspin on the 83 with its heavier crank (which I liked), the 82 head is pretty picky...

The PDI swing arms for the RM125's were pretty trick (other than nylon bushings), looked for a pic, found one sold on ebay 4 years ago for $810 but no pic....... not sure how many models they made but his was setup for the 17 1/2" shocks. I think we got it from E.C. Birt while he was still doing...

RiV Added a reply to VForce reed 79-80 Honda CR125

8/14/2015 3:57pm
If you don't find a good match, the early V-Force separates from the outer flange. It's the a matter of making a flange that adapts it to the main reed block, done it a couple times and it works great.

Howie, do you have a pic? I'm a bit fuzzy on them, most of the time I ran Thor swingarms which were fairly popular at the time, maybe yours has some- thing similar....or polished is correct. I already have longterm lapse of short term memory.....maybe my longterm is out the window too, lol.
