That’s my point, if the 3 race SMX and the 5.5M didn’t exist, would these guys be putting in more of an effort in the nationals, especially the 450 class, because right now it doesn’t seem they are.

This is what I don't understand about people on this forum and I don't think I ever will. Guys won't bat an eye at buying a $1200 titanium and carbon exhaust system or (insert other bling item for their bike), but when it comes to paying for say good fuel to run in their new bike or practice fees then they cry poverty. Motocross is not a cheap sport/hobby, it never has been, and never will be. There are many other options for places to ride that are cheaper. No one is forcing you to go to the motocross track...

Yep. On the high end let’s say you spend 1K for all the baseball equipment. That lasts all season and even multiple years. Never have maintenance. Never have to refill with gasoline. Etc. We are still not even remotely close to the cost of just the motorcycle to go racing the amateur circuit.

Curious did he get the ECU? He was on pulp and mentioned nothing of it. Also stated multiple times he was on a totally stock bike.

I think most of the guys should go back to the drawing board as far as the training side is concerned... Some were sad looking on saturday... Some guys don't fade so it's obviously possible. I've trained a guy who never faded for 24 motos a couple years ago. If I can come up with a program to deal with the challenges of 12 Nationals, anyone can. The fitness side of things is the easiest part of this sport, repetition, dedication, work when tired, very long training sessions @ low BPMs, active recovery and healthy diet. There's no magic pill...
