9/3/2026 9:17am They arent pushing off of them. The bike is moving too fast for them to be of any value for pushing off of. They anchor them down so they do move when they do take off. The tall ones are so you dont have to move your feet to the pegs as much.

The amount of pushing off is negligible, it's more about getting your feet on the pegs as soon as possible after the gate starts dropping. Some of those blocks are so tall their feet are practically already on the pegs.

I don’t think you can push off them whether tied down or not. Having them tied down just keeps you from accidentally kicking it under your bike, and in front of rear tire.

9/2/2026 9:29am Depends on who you ask. For example, ask Honda and I would bet they think its benefited them quite a bit. Ask everyone else apart from maybe Prado and they probably want to go back to dirt starts lol. Im not sure i get the love for concrete starts to make things more fair. IMO, the factory teams (especially Honda)...

If he rides to his potential, he could do really well and make them look like a genius. Maybe now he would take full advantage of it...

8/13/2026 6:20pm I’m not butthurt at all. I also didn’t dig up a 4 year old thread to try to prove a weird point. Also, the stats show that it took hunter 3 seasons to raise to this level. So, no he would not have been doing this in 2022 on a 450.

8/11/2026 11:25am Yeah all the second tier guys. But that’s not what he said. He said Kawasaki has been struggling, but yet they won the world championship last year over the ktm, Honda and Yamaha. Obviously the bike is competitive if you are the number one guy on the team

It was actually Davi's dad who he allegedly spit on. They ended up coming to blows and and the story was Tony spit in his face. Who knows. The parrot that his dad used to always have on his shoulder could not be reached for comment and was uninjured in the altercation. There were several mini dads back in the day that were all hot heads. Nario Izzi was just as gnarly as tony was back in the day.

Lots of people hate Mike Alessi the racer, but I met the guy many times and he is so nice you would never guess it was him based on how people talk about him. Legit one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. Tony his dad is intense I’ll just say that. I hope Mike is doing well, it’s still a shocking we lost his brother Jeff Alessi.
