It's also a shame you have to drop $8,500 on a bike. Hard to justify when you have kids, a mortgage and a car payment. The sport has priced itself out of a lot of business. Wasn't it Honda a few years ago that said they would pull their factory riders from the line if the AMA allowed 250 2 strokes to race with 250 4 strokes at the pro level?
