I may be late on this...but has Stewart been cleared to ride this weekend at RedBud? In the Yoshimura video after Muddy Creek he kept saying he "hoped" he'd be racing next (this) weekend.

It was later talked about the date being June 30th, which I can't confirm. What matters is as long as it's just a provisional suspension it won't affect competition outside of FIM.
The deciding factor will be what happens at his provisional hearing, which I have not seen a date for as of yet.
If something where to be said, we would know.
Until the hearing is done, he will be there.
The answer to my question seems to be that the FIM has no connection to the Outdoor Nationals, and unless the authorities decide to stop him & until the hearing is over, he's still good to go. No new news.
Wonder why James was questioning whether he'd be able to race?
Rapid Reaxtion: Why Stewart Can Race
Pit Row
#1: As long as the FIM suspension is provisional, AMA/MX Sports will take no action.
#2: The AMA has an association with FIM/WADA, but it is not a signatory member, etc.
#3: Only when a final sanction is made, and the suspension is no longer provisional, will they consider action. Even then, they have discretion in how they will respond.
Translated: We are not banning James unless we have to.
As in.......if he keeps racing the nationals....it may very well reflect on his future SX series. Like full penalty type stuff. Which is something like 2 friggin' years!
IF that happens.......I just don't see James switching to outdoors , US nationals only.
Who knows? I'm hoping for the best for James. But God damn it! Who the hell was it that dropped the ball on getting a TUE filed before the SX season?
THAT.....right there could be the straw that breaks the camels back! If FIM and WADA think that James is " Giving them the middle finger " in all this......they may come down on him like a ton of bricks......which WILL affect his National series!
We'll have to see how this plays out.
Which I hope they just clear him already and he can move on and start killing it again!
