My friend and fellow moto fiend John Slater worked tirelessly to put this deal together. Look for a press release later.

Congrats John!

Are those the same skins that were displayed on here a while ago? If so: great work in progressing the design..... The originals could be summed up in one word: woof.

Nice! I knew there was a reason I was buying Blue Buffalo for the last 4-5 years. For as much as they charge for a bag of food, they should be able to increase the prize money. Tongue I just bought a bag "on sale" plus a $5 coupon for $43.98 Blink Blink Blink

I would think that there is quite a bit of overlap in the dog owner & MX fan demographics.

Buster approves!

Did the deal fall through? When you click on Rock's link it takes me to "FOX RACING TO DEBUT 2011 GEAR AT MILLVILLE"

And going directly to mxa's site there is no trace of any Blue Buffalo info I can find.

Rock, I don't think Blue Buffalo is the Unadilla title sponsor, I am pretty sure Red Bull is. Are you talking about a team?

Got this from an MXA tweet:

Ryan Zimmer will be racing the Unadilla AMA 250 National on the Blue Buffalo Honda CRF250. Blue Buffalo is a premium pet food company that won’t just sponsor Zimmer, but is one of the official sponsors of the Unadilla race itself. That is a big commitment to the sport.

It is a little premature but Blue Buffalo is buying Red Bull :-) Look for press release later this week.

DC-Yes John Slater's effort. I edited the title for accuracy.

So you're saying a company with over 6 billion in annual sales and owners worth over 12 bil net worth combined are getting bought out by a company with 600-800 million annual sales. Lets just 10-20% of sales and worth in comparison, the little guy is buying the big guy?

Me too. How many of you changed to Surf laundry detergent back in the 80's for the same reason?

What I got out of this is that you should beware of buying dog food from a guy living in a van down by the river.

Great dog food seriously though. My puppy had cancer at 1 1/2 years old and we had to have him put down after multiple surgeries, but in the whole process talked to a lot of vets who highly recommend blue buffalo.

Matt Foley, Motivational Speaker, the one where he's talking ( if that word applies) to Christina Applegate and David Spade?
I've watched that countless times and cried every time. It's just over the top hilarious.

NASCAR fans at one time (still?) were well known for buying sponsors' products. I read an article about Goody's headache powder attributed a lot of their growth DIRECTLY to their involvement with NASCAR.

In our sport companies like Canidae come and go unfortunately. My cat Tiger (RIP) was CRAZY about stuff but concerns if it was as healthy as Science Diet kept me from buying but I didn't do any research either. John Slater said Blue Buffalo is an all natural pet food so I will check it out. Here is the Blue Buffalo product I want to purchase.

Check out those ingredients.

EDIT scooter502-Yes that one! I put it up behind the RED BULL link in the Blue Buffalo is buying Red Bull in a humor attempt that missed the mark for some..

Blue Buffalo website and their phone number is 800.919.2833. I just left a message thanking them for being a product sponsor at Unadilla and said if they weren't doing that I wouldn't know about them. Left my phone number and asked where can I buy it.

If you have 3 minutes it would be great if you could do the same. Be great if we could blow their phones up so they can see investing in our sport results in consumer interest.

Sold at Petco and Pet Smart.

Their store locator is off line and their Buffalo Buddies trading card deal isn't up either so don't waste your time.

Here is a mock up of the BLUE BUFFALO bike Ryan will be running this weekend at Unadilla. We are very excited about this marketing opportunity for Slater Skins, Blue Buffalo, and Ryan. Like a lot of people we were a little taken back by the different look but after a few rides Ryan can't even tell a difference. Ryan and I are looking forward to working with Slater Skins and Blue Buffalo, so far it has been a lot of fun. I think the bike looks awesome and pumped to actually have a bike that you can see our sponsors. For a privateer, Slater Skins makes a lot of sense to me.
Come by this weekend and check it out the bike in person. We want to thank Dave @ Blue Buffalo and John @ Slater Skins for helping put this thing together on short notice. Hopefully, you will see the Blue Buffalo bike at the Supercross races in 2015.

One thing that would concern me is air flow to things like the shock.... have there been any complications because of all the closed off areas?

I was concerned about this too but we have done numerous 35 min motos on a sand track on Ryan's 250 and have had no engine or shock overheating issues.

Hope it sells some doggie food for them.

Buying 1200 lb of dog food at a time, it's a bit beyond my price range.
