I'm with you. These weather forcasters are usually wrong. I sincerely hope they are wrong and the storm peters out, but I'm going to Southwick tomorrow. I'm bringing my raincoat and I'm gonna have a great time, dammit!! PS- I may be slightly hung over.......

Years ago there was a company in NY named Dyno-Port that made nice looking cone pipes. I had on on my 89 CR125. I don't remember what it did for my powerband but it sure looked cool!

Middleboro, MA in 1979 on my 78 KX125. Me and my father drove there in his F100 - I got smoked in the 125 novice class - don't remember my actual placing but it wasnt good enough to 'qualify' for the 2nd moto. There was like 4 motos of 125 novices - you had to get top 10 or so...

Im not sure how to help with your question, but just wanted to comment - your son looks like he fits well on the bike. How old is he? I have a 6 yr. old who wants a Yamaha (he would definitely fit on a 50) , but I have been holding out for him to grow (physically and mentally)...

I would buy at least one copy of the book. My favorite Doug Henry memory is probably talking to him briefly and watching him ride his CR500 at the Meriden dump (a local sand pit/practice track) way back around 2002 one early spring day.

Paul - I've got a scrapbook full of pics of me at the NESC races that you took from 1979 until 1987 or so. I just pulled them out last night to show my 6 year old son. They bring back some great memories!

RIP Rich. My condolences to his family and friends. I still have old issues of MXA from the late 70's with pics of him. He and Marty Smith were two of my idols when I was a kid. Jody's story was an excellent read.

There's a guy in Mass. named Lee Helliwell that has done some really,really nice custom painted helmets - I think he posts here sometimes.
