Sorry, VAT is definitely not a tariff, it's a sales tax applied indifferently of the goods origin, it's the same for domestic and foreign products. Sales tax gives no competitive advantage to domestic against foreign goods.

Just heard there was mfg meetings (all together to discuss impacts) last few days and major impact on incoming bike prices in US. 20% on euro brands and 24% on Japanese. “Double digits” price increases could be in play as early as next week! 🤦🏼♂️ Prices high enough let’s see how this rolls out.

So what you're saying is corporate America and the Government allowing the offshoring of all our important/base material manufacturing and supply over the last 40'ish years is us getting screwed by other countries, and tariff's levied by the U.S. and paid for by the citizens of this country who are already struggling will fix the problem?
